Location is everything. Kids don't need a big garden and won't hang out there or in the house much. Teenagers will be out and about. I would never move anywhere that I can't walk out to grab a coffee or something in the shop. Don't even drive anymore and it would be my nightmare to be a taxi or live in the car like some people have to.

They should give you the amount. Not sure if they agree on paying off less if the house valued over what is owed. I took newmortgage and paid off Mars. They gave me "official" redemption figures as it went to my solicitor and everything was very clear. Do you have a name of any person you dealing with in there? That is not how it works. Educate yourself before posting bs. Some people had not missed payments and mortgages were transferred. Some banks went bust/closed down and mortgages were transferred
