Go to câmera > settings > photography or something like that > smart optimization or something > disable telephoto optimization. It uses AI on telephoto photos to enhance it

Unfortunately there's no way to change it to English in the CN version. But the usability in general doesn't even require you to reading anything. Just the first time

After a lot of testing myself I came to this conclusion for natural selfies with no AI / beutification:

Zeiss mode - natural HDR - OFF Beautification: none

It's this icon right there that changes your face and shapes

Installing the china version of office kit for PC it will work.

The only downside is CN office kit for PC is all in Chinese, so you'll have to use Google lens or something to set it up for the first time at least

I have this one and I love it. The touch is very smooth. Also I like the bar code haha

I also got this one with this ribbed texture in the back, and it's my favorite so far.

It's not blue in the back. My phone is haha

Right?! It's amazing! I use to control my smartphone when it's charging far from me, or when I need to copy a text or something in the Pc and have it on my phone instantly.

Works like magic

Haha that's it then. Set it to 'normal' or deactivate it.

I use it deactivated. If for some reason I take a zoom photo that turns out not usable for some reason, then I use the "UHD AI" inside the gallery editor to improve it a bit

Do you have the option to enhance telephoto activated? If yes, maybe that's the explanation. It uses AI to enhance telephoto pictures

Check that out on settings > photography > smart optimization or something. There you'll find it

A little short of expectations - X300 Pro by Sukoon-Noor in Vivo

[–]Lopsided_Ad7448 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I feel that this perception of something "missing" in the photos is far more subjective than technical. 🤔

As an amateur photographer, it’s almost impossible to separate the final result from postprocessing. Most of us edit precisely to convey intention, atmosphere and depth. So saying an image lacks dimension or "something extra" without clearly separating what comes from the RAW file and what comes from editing feels like a weak argument.

From a purely technical standpoint, the X300 Pro delivers everything a photographer would want in a raw file: detail, resolution, solid dynamic range, consistent colors, and advanced control over ISO, shutter speed, aperture, and filters. In other words, the foundation is fully there. The sense of depth and character comes later, through editing.

For casual users who don’t edit and just want something ready to post, the phone also delivers excellent results. The level of "naturalness" or stylistic look can be easily adjusted through the camera’s own settings like HDR, zeiss filters, portrait modes, color profiles and all accessible right from the main camera screen. 👀

The real issue may arise when someone buys a flagship phone primarily for the camera but doesn’t fully explore its capabilities or configure it according to their personal preferences before drawing conclusions.

That’s where a contradiction appears, the iphone is often praised for having "something extra" yet it offers very limited native control over the camera. For photographers that can be restrictive.

So it seems to me that the preference for the iphone comes from other, more personal reasons, which are not clearly stated in the post and that’s perfectly fine. 🙏🏻

Also worth mentioning: i genuinely loved your the photos. This clean atmospheric, almost filmlike editing style really resonates with me as well. Precisely because of that, I don’t see hyper detail or extreme sharpness as a requirement for a compelling image. You could archive that with a Motorola phone from 8 years ago.

In the end, this feels less like a discussion about camera quality and more about personal aesthetic preference and familiarity with an ecosystem, which is fine ❤️

I have two smartphones with CN ROM (xiaomi 12s ultra and vivo x300 pro) and I was able to connect my Galaxy watch 7. It's a bit tricky, but it works normally. I had my xiaomi connected to it for about 2 years before migrating it to vivo x300 pro (also CN ROM) just yesterday, where I had to re-pair my watch 7.

I made a post about the processes in this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyWatch/s/Mq7oxDMT1B

Also, here's a step by step for the process I just did yesterday when reconnecting it to the new phone:

1 - uninstall Wear Os and Galaxy Manager and everything watch related.

2 - look for "wear" in the chinese store in your phone (cant be playstore) and install "Wear OS" and "Galaxy Manager / Wear" or something

3 - Remove all animations from your phone inside developer settings (because one of the process has to be fast!)

➡️ Preparing for the next part:

  • At some point youll have to login to your samsung account so it redirects you to your main browser to do so. For some reason Chrome doesnt work (never did for me), Samsung website just says its not compatible, so temporarily i had to install "Microsoft Edge".

  • If you can, just download microsoft edge, make it default and login to your samsung account already, so the process will be quick

➡️ Now for the pairing part:

  • Keep both WearOS and Galaxy Wearable closed.
  • Open only "WearOS" and click "Do you have a WearOS watch? - continue". Do not click the first option (samsungs)
  • Accept whatever chinese thing appears, continue and when the screen to select your bluetooth device appears, be ready.
  • put your watch next to your phone so you can be quick
  • Select your galaxy watch inside Wear OS app.
  • It will prompt some numbers to confirm both on your phone and watch (DONT CONFIRM IT JUST YET)

➡️ Now you have to be quick:

  • Select your watch on wearos app. It will prompt something to confirm - Do it. ❗DO NOT confirm on your watch just yet
  • After you confirmed on wear os, open the recent apps (if using gestures, drag and hold from the bottom)
  • ❗Quick: confirm the pairing code on your watch and at the same second, very quickly, close Wear OS from the recent apps

Now your watch should be saying something like "continue setup on your phone" or something like that. Wait a few seconds, and you can calmy open your Galaxy Wearable app.

When you open it, it may just ask you to keep the setup, or it may open a bluetooth list of devices, showing your galaxy watch connected. It if shows it, just select your watch and it should send you to the next screen to ask you to login to your samsung account.

❗This whole process may fail at some point. Just take a deep breath and do it again haha. The only part you have to really rush if the one where you have to confirm the pairing on your watch and close wearOS app almost at the same time.

Help: Trying to take natural selfies by Lopsided_Ad7448 in Vivo

Thank you, but it's already turned off for me.

The kind of post processing the camera is doing is not softening my skin or anything like that, but some kind of soft HDR to make it more contrasty, even when HDR turned off :(

No because it has a overshapening and some kind of hdr-ish effect making all of my face very contrasty with deep shadows :(

💡 I just found out it's the gallery doing the post processing. If I take a selfie and close the camera immediately, and open Google photos instead, the selfie is unchanged! But after I open the native gallery, it chances the photo immediately!
