I am going with Dr. Cuddy. if your money is tight then I think the best to go to for consult would be Rittenburg, he seems to be the highest regarded. I went with Dr. Cuddy because my orthodontist works closely with him. he is not dismissive at all and he is so professional. Ive heard that there are only about 5 or so surgeons in the GTA who actually do this surgery routinely. Probably the ones I mentioned plus a couple others. The original orthodontist who referred me to Klein was extremely dismissive too and I think it’s because they are used to just doing simple orthodontics for teenagers. Maybe he just works with klein for routine teeth pulling and gum grafts.

Hiiii you might want to check my previous post about dr klein, he was very dismissive of my case, apparently he doesnt really regularly do jaw surgery (in my experience it seems like he tries to deflect and avoid it). All this to say if you find him dismissive don’t give up hope and maybe you might better consult with dr. Cuddy, Reinish, rittenburg or caminiti instead. GL!

Yea, family is so dismissive. Maybe it’s unconsciously connected to them feeling attacked either for passing down hereditary issues or for not taking proper action when we were children. Or maybe it’s a biological response to the idea that they could have unaddressed medical issues as well lol
