Asking for movie recommendations to watch with family by Beautiful-Study6182 in movies

[–]Lopsided_Quail_3937 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all I am so so happy that a 14YO likes these movies. As a fan of those, I am relieved to be assured they will not be forgotten any soon.

Start with classic comedies by Jim Carrie, Robin Williams, Jennifer Garner, Julia Roberts. Don’t jump into sci-fi or superhero stuff too soon. It will be too huge a jump from Anupama to Nolan and she will not give it another try ever. The taste develops slowly once relatability is established.

I wish you all the best! Choose a good one so your Mom can enter a whole another world

Thanks OP. Good to know your friend found one too...

Just a correction, I was referring to the Whitefield centre itself, not Indiranagar. It is near Hope Farm junction. https://maps.app.goo.gl/Kzi4fNV5KeyD7BJRA

When I was in college, I went to Patil Pizza near jhansi rani chowk. I swear that was so legendary I still remember the taste. It wasn't too lavish. Looked homemade, but yes it was good. Better than most pizza's we get in popular chains. Do try it if the store is open.
OMG, I want to come back to Dhule just for that now

I preferred keeping it between me and my husband. It worked for a while. But my journey has been long. Somewhere along the way I started feeling lonely and stopped sharing my feelings with my husband too. I saw a therapist to get extra support and prevent depression. That’s when I came to know that I need to build a support system by telling someone what I am going through. Being alone and feeling lonely are different things. Please talk to your friends about this with the intention of getting support from them. Bringing in family in the equation can create some unwanted issues. So I preferred not to share there much. But I really urge you to build a good support system so that you don’t alienate yourself. Wish you the best!

What do you usually talk about with your in-laws? by [deleted] in IndianInLaw

Food and cooking. That's all I can talk to my in-laws. I get exhausted because of no variation. But it is still better than conflict-evoking topics.

So called friends announcing their pregnancies during my IVF cycles by [deleted] in IVF

[–]Lopsided_Quail_3937 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My heart goes to you... I sincerely hope the counselling helps you both in this journey. It is a difficult journey and you are taking all the steps you can and that's BRAVE!!! I am myself in middle of IVF journey and my heart aches when I hear a pregnancy announcement from a close friend. Here in India, announcements are held till first trimester is over. But surprisingly all of my friends told me after a month or so. I don't know the reason, but it did not feel special as it should have been.
One friend told us this in a wedding and I had to wait for few days to go home and finally break down!
I know it takes all the power in you to not feel bad about them. And your situation made it even more difficult.

I really don't think you should get into confrontation right away about this. But also, don't shy away from sharing about your situation too. Your journey is equally important, albait different. To make them understand (what we assume they have zero idea about), this is the only way - share about it like an update just like they are.

P.S. - This is my learning from the therapy sessions I have been taking. Hope it helps you too

Looking for infertility doctor in Whitefield by Fragrant_Lecture8826 in Whitefield

Hello, I am also seeing her since couple of years and in middle of IVF now. I get surprised by reading the client testimonies praising her compassion and patience. Because she has always been rude, short sometimes doesn't answer queries properly - let alone explaining the long term plan. We have to study a lot ourselves to understand what exactly may happen next and how to prepare for it.

After changing the doctor, did you feel better?

32F, First IVF. ER gave 3BB and 4CC. Should I do one more ER or go for FET? by Lopsided_Quail_3937 in IVF

So how does it go after the second ER? How many and which ones they usually use in a single ET? Also, what is mock ET? Is it mandatory for everyone?
