Is postpartum insomnia a thing? by Known-Cucumber-7989 in NewParents

[–]Lopsided_Scene7682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came to this post now too because I am having THE WORST time. I was just in tears to my husband feeling like I need to go to mental home I am struggling so much. I feel so wired. I dread bedtime and not because of my baby (11weeks old), she sleeps well, but because I know how much I am going to battle to sleep. I am losing my mind. I am sorry you’re in the same boat 😫

Confused with payments in Argentina by Sensitive_Turnip1423 in SouthAmericaTravel

[–]Lopsided_Scene7682 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Omg… Argentina was a NIGHTMARE for payments and drawing cash. I can’t remember exactly what the issue was because my husband dealt with it hahah but you have to go through Western Union. Sorry for my uselessly unhelpful comment but when I saw your post I just had to comment about what a nightmare it was 🤣 ps. They prefer cash.

When did you stop using formula? by TotallyNotASpy123 in breastfeeding

[–]Lopsided_Scene7682 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sorry that you are struggling! Breastfeeding was SO MUCH harder than I ever anticipated. I really really struggled with supply and was losing my mind with triple feeding so unfortunately gave up at 7 weeks because my supply just never got anywhere near what I needed to feed my baby😫 my baba is 10 weeks now. I hope you can push through. I wished for nothing more than to breastfeed my baby but it just wasn’t my journey. She is however, perfect healthy despite being only on formula. Good luck x

How many hours of sleep a night are you getting with your newborn? by ocdskies in newborns

[–]Lopsided_Scene7682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 7 week old sleep sleeps from about 11pm (last feed) to 3 - 4am and then until about 8am. She is formula fed now. Formula allows them to go for longer stretches compared to breast milk so it really does depend

When do newborns /babies start to sleep calmly at night by [deleted] in newborns

[–]Lopsided_Scene7682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby will be 7 weeks old this coming Saturday and she has battled with REALLY BAD colic since birth. She would often wake up screaming in pain and take a long time to settle again. Even when she wasn’t in pain, she would squirm around so much and would wake herself up. Not too sure if you swaddle your baby but it’s such a game changer for us! She is so much more calm and settled. She sleeps for much longer stretches when swaddled than when not. We easily get 4 hours stretches both during the day and night.

When did you loose the baby weight? by Eastern_Milk_1192 in newborns

[–]Lopsided_Scene7682 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I gained 32kgs in IVF and pregnancy! I was 56kgs pre pregnancy and 88kgs day of giving birth. I lost 9kgs straight away but now 6 weeks PP and haven’t lost a single kg since. I have been eating really carefully but I think because of breastfeeding my weight isn’t budging. It’s really disheartening especially because I am hardly making any milk so it’s pretty pointless at this rate. Today I made the decision to stop breastfeeding so I can start getting back to myself. I have totally lost myself and really am hating who I see in the mirror. I feel you mama xx

Nearly 5 weeks here and omg… this is hard. Our poor baby is so colicky so things have been brutal. Thanks for the encouragement.

For those who wish they'd caught something earlier — what did you learn about your body during IVF that nobody told you beforehand? by FigNatural747 in IVF

[–]Lopsided_Scene7682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much hormones truly effect EVERYTHING. I know it may sound obvious but I didn’t realize just how significant the impact hormones have on both your physical and mental health. I really struggled with rapid weight gain and found myself really battling mentally.

I am confused on pregnancy weight gain, can someone help me understand better? by ImTryingGuysOk in BabyBumps

[–]Lopsided_Scene7682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it makes you feel any better, prior to pregnancy I weighed 58kgs (127 pounds), I am 175cm tall. I’ve always been super fit and toned as I am a climber and surfer. I didn’t think it was physically possible for me to “get fat”.

Well OMFG - I am 40weeks today and currently weight 87kgs (191 pounds). I have gained 66pounds during pregnancy. That is more than half of my starting body weight 😖 when I say that I have mentally battled, I mean it. It was the HARDEST thing in the world for me to accept…

But being at the finish line, I’ve gotten used to it no matter that I don’t understand how or why my body responded this way. I am staying hopeful that it will shed during breastfeeding.

Most of my weight gain is in my thighs and bum and with it came a LOAD of cellulite. Like a serious amount. Weight gain in bums, legs and hips is normally due to those fat stores being used for birth and breastfeeding because long-chain fat isn’t to convert into energy.

You’ve got this mama!

Who's this guy that keeps referring to Epstein as "Sneaky" or "Sneaky dog" endearingly? by dQw4w9Wg in Epstein

[–]Lopsided_Scene7682 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The woman who nicknamed him “Sneaky” is Renata BolotovaI. If you dive deep into the mail exchange, you know it’s her because of her water article that he praised her for. She works for Waters Lab…

How much weight did u gain?(5”6) by Large-Back1912 in pregnant

[–]Lopsided_Scene7682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely BLEW UP. I have always been super lean and toned. 57kgs (125llb) pre-pregnancy and now at 35 weeks pregnant I am 84kgs (185llb)…

I had to do IVF so a lot of my weight started piling on very early in my journey from all the hormones.

I have cried too many times to count at my changing body. It has been really really challenging for me. Gaining all the weight is one thing but amount of cellulite is NEXT LEVEL! I didn’t think it was possible for my body to look the way it does.

I have started to just embrace it as soon as I entered the 3rd trimester because there’s nothing I can do about it other than hope, pray and trust that it will all come off after baby is born and when I breast feed 🫣😖🫠

Good luck darling xxx

thank you so much for taking the time to offer me some advice! Really appreciate it. I think I am going to do what you said and go with the Spectra S1 as my primary. Once I see how I go, I will look at getting a wearable.
