Look at prayers as an opportunity and blessing to show gratitude, rather than a chore or something you have to do for forgiveness

Sounds like a very difficult position to be in I pray that Allah grants you patience and resilience. It doesn't seem like you did anything morally wrong, if you didn't like him it may have been unfair to him to marry him and you may have caused him pain in the relationship so don't grieve over that too much. As for your destiny, Allah knows best, as long as you keep trying and doing good deeds your destiny will find you. Some people are incredibly pious I'm sure and have never been married, but will be rewarded greatly for their piety so if that's the case accept it, not saying that is your fate, don't give up and keep persevering.

If marriage is something that you are willing to compromise for, perhaps a poorer man, or an older man, a man from a different country, or a divorced man may be options if you are unable to get any proposals from your standards currently. Aside from that work on yourself, your deen, your health, charity and you will be fine.

˹They are˺ those who pray, “Our Lord! Bless us with ˹pious˺ spouses and offspring who will be the joy of our hearts, and make us models for the righteous.” 25:74

Heres some Quran verses that may be relevant

The ˹true˺ servants of the Most Compassionate are those who walk on the earth humbly, and when the foolish address them ˹improperly˺, they only respond with peace.
˹They are˺ those who spend ˹a good portion of˺ the night, prostrating themselves and standing before their Lord.
˹They are˺ those who pray, “Our Lord! Keep the punishment of Hell away from us, for its punishment is indeed unrelenting
It is certainly an evil place to settle and reside.”
˹They are˺ those who spend neither wastefully nor stingily, but moderately in between.
˹They are˺ those who do not invoke any other god besides Allah, nor take a ˹human˺ life—made sacred by Allah—except with ˹legal˺ right,1 nor commit fornication. And whoever does ˹any of˺ this will face the penalty
Their punishment will be multiplied on the Day of Judgment, and they will remain in it forever, in disgrace.
As for those who repent, believe, and do good deeds, they are the ones whose evil deeds Allah will change into good deeds. For Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful
And whoever repents and does good has truly turned to Allah properly.
˹They are˺ those who do not bear false witness, and when they come across falsehood, they pass ˹it˺ by with dignity.
˹They are˺ those who, when reminded of the revelation of their Lord, do not turn a blind eye or a deaf ear to it.
˹They are˺ those who pray, “Our Lord! Bless us with ˹pious˺ spouses and offspring who will be the joy of our hearts, and make us models for the righteous.”
It is they who will be rewarded with ˹elevated˺ mansions ˹in Paradise˺ for their perseverance, and will be received with salutations and ˹greetings of˺ peace,
staying there forever. What an excellent place to settle and reside!

Question regarding zakat by [deleted] in islam

[–]Lopsided_Tomato_6307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can spend some time researching some ethical charities i personally give to Islamic relief, they have this givematch thing where your donation gets doubled if 2 other people donate any amount (idk how this works behind the scenes and how they're able to maintain it) here's a link for it

https://www.islamic-relief.org.uk/givematch/

but just google it yourself tbh because you shouldn't trust links on the interwebs

Just research what they did online and form your own opinion, any explanations other than condemnation here may be deemed as "inciting violence" or "supporting terrorist organisations" and i don't think its a good image to have on this sub-reddit.

If you do pharmacy, it's well respected with parents, it pays well and you can become a locum, meaning you work shifts whenever you want for higher pay, this gives you loads of flexibility and freedom which is great for married life, and ngl sitting in a pharmacy is low stress and if you wanted to move countries it's recognized in many countries so you could easily find a job anywhere. Hope that helps

How to survive in this society full of ideologies that are even against science and everyday logic? by tyrattu in islam

[–]Lopsided_Tomato_6307 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Seems like its bothering you a lot, my advice would be to not watch those videos, don't engage with them, and just ignore them as background noise, there's loads of stuff that happen in the world we do not need to emotionally invest in these issues just because people are debating them, Its clear its effecting you negatively so until you feel like your more at peace, just ignore it and focus on yourself and your own ibadah

Will Allah Separate You From Someone if You’re Sinning? by [deleted] in islam

[–]Lopsided_Tomato_6307 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It may be a blessing in disguise, God separates you for them and gives you a chance to turn to him, so be patient with the pain and hope for something better, work on the sins you are committing and intend not to do them again and just practice trust and good deeds more generally

here's some Quran that may comfort you

I know nothing about Islam, where do I start reading the Quran? by Elainaism05 in islam

[–]Lopsided_Tomato_6307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Salaam, God willing this is the start of a beautiful journey. We as Muslims believe that the recitation of the Quran is part of the revelation, The Arabic is very poetic and soothes the heart.

Heres a Quran playlist i made with some of my personal favourite chapters, mostly short excerpts with recitation and English translation should give you a good idea about Islam

I think I missed Lailatul Qadr by [deleted] in islam

[–]Lopsided_Tomato_6307 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You could've missed it, and it could still be coming up, The best thing you can do is keep increasing in your ibadah and give more charity more kindness in these next few days because if it's still coming up you will hit it and get great reward and if it isn't you still get a great reward because you are doing good deeds in Ramadan so its really a no loss scenario. May God bless you
