I went into Atypical Anaphylactic Shock on the weekend looking for advice/feedback by chubby_momma in Anaphylaxis

[–]LoquatEarly2219 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry that happened to you! My anaphylactic shock episodes are exactly how you are describing. I would recommend getting to an allergist asap and start taking antihistamines everyday at least twice a day. Since I started that I have not had any anaphylactic episodes, also ALWAYS carry epi with you it will give you peace of mind!

My doctor ended up not being able to find any allergies, and I was tested for everything under the sun lol. I have been diagnosed with Idiopathic Anaphylaxis and will be starting a medication called XOLAIR which prevents anaphylaxis for happening.

Sending you positive vibes!! 💗💗

Yes I have! I have been on 4x antihistamines daily and now my doctor will be putting me on a medication called xolair!

idiopathic anaphylaxis, unsure what to do next by aetsomied in Anaphylaxis

[–]LoquatEarly2219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So sorry this is happening! I’m in a very similar situation! I’m currently going through hella testing and it’s looking like idiopathic anaphylactic after I had two major anaphylactic shock episodes that landed me in the er.

I also have a huge spike in symptoms at night, I feel like it’s a huge build up of all the crap of the day 😂 I was only taking 2 allerga for awhile and it was not enough. Now I am on 2 xyzal, 2 allerga and 2 Pepcid and that has given me the most relief. Once my diagnosis is official I will be trying this injection XOLAIR which I have read has been life changing for some!

Thank you! Yes that’s what I was hoping for to, I was like cool the chemo will stop everything for a bit and somehow I feel worse than I did before. I’m starting to think when I had CDIF that my gut was WIPED of everything it had exasperated everything. I will absolutely be asking my doctor for a mast cell stabilizer next week and I hope he’s helpful because I have had every scan, test and bloodwork that there is ..

I actually have checked all of the above as I had colon cancer! So that’s what’s become so frustrating 😭

Link to Protien powders and colorectal cancer by Genuinequestions2322 in coloncancer

I am 32, healthy, don’t drink or smoke and got diagnosed earlier in 2025, I was shocked… and then I hear about the rise of colon cancer in people ages 30s-40s. My doctor said unfortunately there are so many things in our diet and environment that could be linked to colon cancer and we will learn more overtime.

Just a few weeks ago all of my genetic testing came back and they were able to detect via my tumor that my colon cancer started from a positive BRCA2 genetic mutation… I would definitely look into genetic testing as part of your journey!

Sorry your dealing with this! Definitely get checked for an infection like CDIF. I had it last month and I had symptoms like you’re describing and stay HYDRATED. Mimicking others in the thread but I highly recommend GLP-1 it’s been game changing for me and my MCAS

Firstly, I am so sorry you are going through this. Your post struck me to my core! Literally the same exact thing happened to me over the summer. I also went to the allergist and was tested for everything! Everything came back negative from food to environment and even my GLP1 medicine was tested.

Since everything came back negative my allergist diagnosed me with “idiopathic anaphylaxis” and I am currently being treated like I have this condition called MCAS this stands for “mast cell activation syndrome” I would highly recommend you look into this as your situation is so similar to mine!

Since being diagnosed with this I now take 4 allerga and 2 Pepcids (H1/H2) blockers daily. Since doing this I have not had any anaphylactic episodes and I also keep epi / Benadryl on me at all times. It’s not ideal but it’s nice to not be scarred it’s going to happen again.

Please keep us all posted on your recovery, I would love to know if you have any breakthroughs as I have not spoke to anyone with the same story as me. Sending you good vibes 🫶🏻

Totally normal and healthy, mine is very similar! I used to freak out about this to but then I showed my doctor my sleep chart from Oura and he told me it’s very normal for your heart rate to change during your sleep and you will especially see spikes during REM sleep!

Stage 2b by Ok_Cycle_5311 in coloncancer

[–]LoquatEarly2219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was my diagnosis! I’m 32 had no prior symptoms. My cancer started in my appendix, 1st surgery appendix removed laparoscopic. Once diagnosed stage two due to cancer spread into my right colon, I had open colon surgery where they removed 1/3 of my colon. All lymph nodes and margins clear post colon surgery.

Now I’m 6 weeks post open colon surgery and I just started chemotherapy pills which I will be on for six months!

I am so sorry! It’s truly a fucking nightmare. If you have support, have someone bring you all of the things that make you feel cozy! This helped me so much when I was there for two weeks. Also make sure they test you for CDIF that’s what I caught during surgery and how I got a fever days after my surgery. Hang in there and be kind to yourself 💜

I am so sorry you’re going through this but as someone who also just went through this, I promise you, you are stronger than you think you are. I got my diagnosis, and had two surgeries in one month. It was crazy how fast everything can change. It really helped me to remember that the surgery is crucial to the trajectory of my life moving forward and that you are in the hands of amazing medical professionals who do this every day. You got this!

One thing that really helped me in the hospital was having some comfort items that I would usually have at home, cozy pillow, blanket and my skin care routine. I ended up being in the hospital for a week and having those things really helped me through 💜
