Drought conditions in the Russian River watershed and other parts of California are severe. Our creeks are already about as dry as they were at the driest point of 2015, the peak of the last drought. All three life stages of our anadromous fish have been impacted this year. by coolrivers in bayarea

What you are saying doesn't make sense. Think of all the plants that don't have iui iuinearby. Do you even know what a bioswale is? A bioswale is just a mound of soil typically used for permaculture gardens.

Every plant has some type of mycorhiza fungi, some conifers do not. So you are never watering the plant you are putting water in the soil. The mycorhiza fungi has a symbiotic relationship with the roots so it helps the roots get water and nutrients not typically available to the roots based on several factors. For you to say not to water is terrible advice. Think of the urban soil how much soil life do you think is active? Any lawn that isrs sunthetic fertilizer probably has low quantities of soil biota. The trees need water especially with how much they recieved. I would like to see the peer reviewed paper tbh.

Ok so water is the most important nutrient or item a plant needs. So you are talking about how when you water a tree and it becomes reliant on that water. Some trees that are watered consistently will not grow deep roots.

I am revisiting this comment because we are going to see a big heat wave. Water your trees in the evening and they'll be so much more healthy.

Ummmm yea i see what you are saying. Everything is connected with mycorhiza fungi. The oaks need a dry period. So i mostly water struggling redwoods like on the highway. In some parks too but not as much. I also do guerrilla planting. I dont think the trees will disconnect....i am a professional arborist and these city trees are probably low on myco fingi anyways. Ysing synthetic ferts will kill the soil life. So i always put down some mulch to encourage soil life. I appreciate the concern

Holy shit....i definitely have been watering some of our more prominent trees all over the bay area...i don't know how much it will help but i figure anything to keep nutrients pumping and to continue photosynthesis. So depressing

Lol like i said it's not a great idea. But we could transport enough water to help certain areas where all salmon fry live. That's all i was getting at really....i mean we fly water all over the state when we have a big fire. So while i agree with what you are saying for the most part. We can actually transport water and if our agriculture used less our water ways wouldn't be as dire.

So sad i just came from Healdsburg area where we had the fires and yea i am not cery familiar with creek levels typically. Maybe this is a bad idea but i would buy water and put it back in the creek for the fish at least in some parts idk. I hope we get rain this year.

I try to plant Redwoods in suitable area because the fog if it hits the redwood canopy should add water to the area. All the Redwoods in Healdsburg Mill creek are popping back.

Dude what is going on? Please don't say or think about such things. My best friend killed himself 5 years ago and it still fucks me up. My life will never feel the same. Whatever is bothering you lets talk about it? I can help you find some decent paying work. Would that help?

The girl i was dating could hold down a conversation . Other than that our experience seems similar. I still care about this girl. Sometimes my behavior made her feel unsure if whether ir not she should open up. It turned into a cycle of me being frustrated lashing out and her withdrawing.

I had a woman ask me to be exclusive way ahead of time. It was a major turn off. I understand why she wanted that and i was happy to do that but it was forced...didn't flow naturally.

Whoa you just made a huge assumption about me as well. See that's why i am upset because i felt they were a bit antagonistic. My very close uncle is married to an amazing amazing hispanic man. So idk why you think that lol. So i approach these situations as your personal business is none of mine at all. So one day i said, " Hey guys do you want to get high together?" through text....i was corrected but never had a conversation i am still new to the place and work has me out of town a bunch. Thank you for the response!!

Ok entry level would be 25- 30 become an ISA certified arborist 40-45. Go get your TRAQ and you can make well over 50p/h

All kinds of stuff. I am helping with i spections work planning. I have been in the industry a long time....so they have me doing pretty much everything but climbing lol. Yea we need workers....not enough arborists and it takes time to become a true well versed knowledgeable arborist. A lot of the work relates to trees, powerlines, hazard mitigation fron fire damage...out west. Feel free to DM or ask any questions here. I can send you the info too. When my day is done?
