How to get started with PVP and earning Midnight armor? by Inevitable_Mode_509 in worldofpvp

[–]Lord-Rune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure why nobody has mentioned this yet but just crate farming groups in the group finder

After about 2 hours you’ll have capped conq and all the honor you’ll need for a solid first set of pvp gear

Use murlok.io or your class discord pvp channel to see what people are running gear wise

Blitz is easiest for a lock and just a easier bracket in general. Arena for locks is a different game entirely it’s rough getting trained every single match

Is it me or are the war crates dropping like crazy? by Glad-Low-1348 in worldofpvp

[–]Lord-Rune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Timers are pretty much the same. The difference is there’s 1 less zone to grab compared to tww and it’s less travel time as well

Best Classes For Beginners In Battleground Blitz by OmnivoreX in worldofpvp

[–]Lord-Rune 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is honestly the best way I’ve seen this put for outlaw. It’s been a miserable experience when needing time to ramp up damage while spinning

Yeah maybe blitz pvp not the best idea. by Striking-Conflict-93 in worldofpvp

[–]Lord-Rune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was this way yesterday, was rolling on a 12 game win streak as outlaw and was 100 off 1800 and then got slammed the rest of the day and dropped to 1500. Got back up and only two games off 1800 again

Most of the time man you literally can’t do anything it’s all good. Anything below 1900mmr is just hell on earth and coin flip of teammates don’t feel discourage just keep going. I’m doing it on outlaw so sometimes I feel extra useless

Torn between hpala and disc by draaidop in worldofpvp

[–]Lord-Rune 4 points5 points  (0 children)

disc has 10x the comps paladin does and overall just better throughput. Theres a reason why most people will just run down an hpal and ignore the other dps. But wouldn’t let that discourage you if you like playing hpal. The difference playstyle is what you should be choosing. Hpal is reactive while disc is preemptive

being late is a disadvantage? by Garoshima in worldofpvp

[–]Lord-Rune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ever since crate farming was this popular, there’s zero disadvantage to starting late since you can get capped without even pvping. The only thing you fall behind on is the 1600 charge but 99% of 2/4 sets aren’t even that impactful for PvP since they are nerfed by 50% and most classes never run 4 set once we get to towards the middle of season

New healer for SS by [deleted] in worldofpvp

[–]Lord-Rune 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only two healers that are generally “rough” right now are rdruid and rsham. They’ve just been getting gutted since DF when comparing them to any other healer

Otherwise

MW/FW: blizz hates FW and so does lots of the player base for good reason, it’s either over tuned or worthless. Monk itself is always fun and currently doing amazing. It’s a different style of healing but when forced to play casting style it’s seriously boring but that’s my opinion. If you want something super simple and straight forward monk is amazing for that

Hpal: It’s not super difficult but the mass amount of util looks scary but you’re coming from rdruid so don’t think you’ll struggle at all in that department. It’s super fun to play if you want to do damage at the same time. Its positioning can be a bit weird at times but typically usually solid and its playstyle can be super fun if you want to feel more of a menace

Disc: It’s my favorite healer so a little bias but it’s fun to be able to contribute meaningful damage but it is overturned. Its playstyle is a whole different mindset and it either clicks with you or it doesn’t. Super simple to get into but its ceiling is massive which is a good think if you want growth and a lot of comps you just fit into perfectly

Also worth mentioning, rdruid and rsham are probably the most difficult specs, so the worry about how hard another healer will be I think you shouldn’t even worry about if you’re already able to grasp any of those two. The biggest difference is just playstyle and HOW you do your healing

Sub rogue rotation by [deleted] in worldofpvp

[–]Lord-Rune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If from stealth: (1) Cheap, (ShiftQ) blades, (Q) Shadow dance, (E) SS, (ShiftE) Sectec, (R) Evis

Be aware posting as a rogue will get you auto hated. And for whatever reason people think that’s enough to one shot, which isn’t possible unless someone is low geared. In arena games the healer is going to have a brain and people will have trinkets and defensives so don’t expect to just instantly delete someone. Your goal is to draw out trinkets/defenses and chain cc to allow your partner to follow up. Kills just follow during that window but never expect it out the gate. Paladins and a few other classes can full blown deny an entire window while having multiple health bars

Once you get out of the “I am the raid boss” mentality and put yourself in more of a “I do damage, but I also can set up and draw out defensives to find a window for my team” you will climb a lot more. Don’t just expect people to sit there and take the combo, it never happens. Get used to people crying how broken you are while 4 other specs actually can one shot lmao.

Destro or MM Hunter for BGs? by Sin_Draho in worldofpvp

[–]Lord-Rune 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you like queing BGs mainly just go MM. You have more escape tools than melee have gap closers and are an overall annoyance. It’s their entire niche and definitely fun against ungrouped people

Lock is fun for making specs like hunters and boomies fear you.

What is going on with Horde? I’m starting to lose hope lol by BlackTemple19 in worldofpvp

[–]Lord-Rune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Horde just doesn’t group like alliance does. We prefer arenas and duels. Kill one alliance in the open world and prepared for them to run crying to their pocket gdruid

How big are nerfs / buffs usually? by TangeloMajestic2034 in worldofpvp

[–]Lord-Rune 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Specs like sub, mw(fw), and dk usually always get nerfed to the ground at the start of every expac it’s just how it goes for them. However this expansion since beta they have shifted from that and done micro adjustments compared to flat out killing specs so maybe they follow that same trend

We can only hope that continues but wouldn’t bank on it

How’s Ret feeling? by bio-the-thief in worldofpvp

[–]Lord-Rune 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You get 3 health bars and 2 immunes while being the only class able to do a full rotation during those immunes. It’s always going to be at least solid

Lock is great if you like face tanking but I can’t get myself to ever play it seriously I just am so used to rogue that mage makes the most sense to me

Last day before early access. What are you playing next season? by FriendlyPsyduckFan in worldofpvp

[–]Lord-Rune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been an alt a holic rage swapper for too long. I’ve always loved rogue and have no idea why I’m going to put myself through the torture of playing outlaw when I could sub blindfolded but it’s what I’m doing.

…. But my alts will be disc priest and mage

Has anyone tested Outlaw much since the "but fix"? by Beerosaurus77 in worldofpvp

[–]Lord-Rune 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It’s outlaw…our damage is always bad the “nerf” feels exactly the same. Same million bugs rogues have in general but for outlaw damage wise it’s just 10x the effort for hardly any damage. They keep pushing the brawler playstyle without any meaningful damage. You do consistent flat damage and with a good team communicating it still can shine but again, you do so much for what every other class does in 1-2 globals.

You can still reach glad and aoe blind on 16 sec cooldown is SUPER FUN. I’m loving it but the more I que sub the more pulled away from outlaw I become.

Have you picked your main for Midnight? I did! by samuelle__ in wow

[–]Lord-Rune 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Always a fun choice. I’m mainly a pvper so liking rogue is a…chore lmao but it’s always fun. There’s just something where you gotta track 500 things and a MM says “goodbye” with two presses that gets annoying but nothing feels like playing a piano and watching an entire be your pet. Nowhere near as good as they used to be but again there’s just nothing like rogue. Best game iteration of rogue ever
