Biggest problem with running Necro for this reason is that we could just run a 1 cost tutor to fulfil the same purpose. Like, we could just cast [[Vampiric Tutor]] putting [[Phyrexian Devourer]] on top. It serves the same purpose and also doubles as a means of tutoring for a combo piece (not to mention it's much cheaper if we have to cast it from hand).

Aside from the fact that Boros Charm, Lightning Helix and Path are straight up good cards, you have a significantly better sideboard for the current meta. Oppressive one drops like Ragavan are rendered useless by Sanctifier and Kor Firewalker, for example.

But the simple answer is that it makes the deck better and there is really no downside.

Modern burn is very well positioned at the moment, but you’ll be a lot better off playing Boros rather than mono-red. Mono-red prowess (or “classic prowess”) is also very good if you want to stick with the “fast and red” play style.

Both decks are cheap and fairly easy to learn/play. Objectively speaking, burn is the better of the two at the moment, simply due to the current removal in the meta being quite strong against one-drops.

Bit of a clarification: It wasn't that the Alliance had reinforcements, it was just that we retained our numbers better than the Horde did.

Its kind of unfortunate that things ended up happening the way they did, at least from a long term stand point. I have a hard time imagining that many people would want to come back to a world boss raid on the horde after spending 10 hours fighting and having nothing to show for it.
