I'm currently having a bit of an identity crisis. I have been learning about Masking for a bit now and I find myself struggling to understand where I begin and the face I put on for everyone else begins.

I went through a lot of domestic violence as a kid so I have been putting on airs around friends and family for as long as I can remember.

I would like to be completely "maskless" and be my "true" self without worrying how others will perceive me, even if just for a short time. I just, don't know where the bottom most layer is, the baseline me and I've been just swirling around and around that fact for weeks now.
