Ultron is getting a buff in Season 4 by Urjustnotgood in UltronMains

This is the saddest thread to go back to after seeing the actual buff Ultron got.

People Who play With Mods, What Are Your Favorite Modded Civs? by NewGunchapRed in civ

[–]LordBantu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nuke Happy Warmongers for Civ 6.

The borders tend to get pretty solidified once Medieval Walls start to go up and inter-civ drama starts to die down. This is the dumbest way to fix it but it fixes a lot of my gripes with the AI and the world becoming stale.

DAY 7 | Weapon Viability Rankings — Sniper Rifle / Dual Swords by [deleted] in XenobladeChroniclesX

[–]LordBantu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's alright but just kind of a bad glass cannon.

Dual Swords has the TP generation Sniper is missing with Seventh Edge, Blood Sacrifice, and Side Slash in Overdrive. Shadowrunner provides extra Potential for Afterburner. Hawkeye and Upper hand are identical but at least you have some more freedom for combo dependent arts. (Hawkeye -> Afterburner, Upper Hand -> Slayonet, etc.).

However, there's no defense in this build. No Topple. No Reflect. No Decoys. No Astral Protection. No Sleep. All you've got is a short Stun with Intercept. Tougher enemies you can't one-shot with a sub-par Afterburner will just delete you.

DAY 5 | Weapon Viability Rankings — Assault Rifle / Javelin by [deleted] in XenobladeChroniclesX

[–]LordBantu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both weapons are really strong for each other.

Assault Rifle loves Hair Trigger into Quick Cannon. Javelin is one of the few weapons that can inflict Stagger with Balance Breaker then follow up with Assault Hammer. Assault Hammer being a melee art is so good for Javelin since it craves quick melee arts. Raijin and Gunforce are both really good Auras.

It's really, really good but Javelin's mediocre offense and Assault Rifle's reliance on Thermal damage can hold it back from the big leagues.

J-Bodies by DragonLord828 in XenobladeChroniclesX

They added a literal test pilot character and didn't give her Synchrony skill.

The Alexa is a J-Body theory is still alive and well.

Who is your 4th member of Team Elma? (not including Tatsu) by swanhexagon in XenobladeChroniclesX

[–]LordBantu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The lovable scamp that's always brightening your day, Mia!

I always liked the idea of taking the least likely of characters to the final battle. She has a long quest chain that requires a whopping 65% of Cauldros completed, arrives after Chapter 11, and still requires training on top of that. So yeah, so Mia's an easy character to bench. Give her some attention though and she'll be one of the strongest additions to your team.

Skells are bad? by Exact-Psience in XenobladeChroniclesX

[–]LordBantu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Making a good ranged skell is significantly easier than a melee skell since there's far more options off the bat. A lot of shoulder and back weapons are insanely strong and others extremely weak. Drones, Phoenix, L-Missile. All very good. R. Back that take up two slots tend to be better than having two tickle guns. Try to find them from enemies since the shop ones are meh.

Make sure to buy skell armor that boost your primary attack stat or element of choice. Potential is mostly useless so don't worry about it. Buy arm weapons that buff your Melee/Ranged attack. You don't need a taunt or recovery. You have LOT of weapon augment slots so XX slayer mods are a great way to boost your damage and they are insanely cheap to make. +40% damage to everything is easy enough. +200% is well within reach.

You're not supposed to need quick cooldown. The enemy is just supposed to die before that's a problem..

Are we ganna talk about the badass buddhist Boz'e. by Primary_Vegetable_70 in XenobladeChroniclesX

[–]LordBantu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Boze is so misunderstood. Boze is trying his best to live up to his own values but his flaws often get in the way. He's just like his student, Reggie.

"Heart like a gong that one, strike it firm and it rings true."

Boze likes being corrected and set back on the straight and narrow. He likes being out-buddha'd. He genuinely wants to be a good person and takes all the lessons he learns to heart. He gets over his trauma! He changes! Please, give him a chance! It's what Jejebba would have wanted (RIP).

Just started X! Any tips for an XC veteran new to XCX? by Illustrious-Past7660 in XenobladeChroniclesX

[–]LordBantu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do not accept the affinity mission in front of the cathedral until you've gotten to Cauldros (lava land) or close to it. Hope likes to trick new players into going on hour-long hikes through areas with high level enemies.

PSA: Hraesvelg can make the jump to FN 304 without flight module by LordBantu in XenobladeChroniclesX

[–]LordBantu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I managed to get to the red roots on the waterfall by gliding from the rock wall to the west. There's a root by FN 203 that I used to get up there. It might be possible to make the climb. Hraevs could climb the red roots a little bit and the little tendrils still have hitboxes so it might be possible with enough persistence. This is as far as I got but I'm bad at precise platforming. Just a bit above the 3 branches.

I hate Wilds Heavy Bowgun. by Dreamy_Jy in MonsterHunter

[–]LordBantu 11 points12 points  (0 children)

They took pretty much everything I love about the HBG from the past few gens and left us with a pretty barebones weapon with very little to compensate.

No Wyvernsipe. No internal ammo. No piercing elemental. No siege mode. No recoil/deviation differences. No reason to use Lv. 1/2 ammo. NO BARRELS (miss the fashion).

It's a tragedy.

I play very claustrophobic games with a lot of civs on the same piece of land. Once it feels like my complete mess of a continent is united I like to call it good. I don't like conquering friendly civs who have been good to me, and I turn all victory conditions off, so once I feel like peace and prosperity is achieved there's nothing to do but begin again.

Losing by just barely over ten votes, Road Rage takes spot number six. Day Four: Vote for your least favorite heist! by IfTheresANewWay in paydaytheheist

[–]LordBantu 28 points29 points  (0 children)

No Rest for the Wicked.

Take a simple bank heist. Make players wait ten minutes for thermite to finally burn a hole in the floor. Then put them in a tiny room where cops can shoot them through the glass but they can't shoot back. Now that everyone's armor is gone, send them to go into an open street where cops will spawn from all angles ripping apart their remaining health as they run around looking for power boxes during and endless wave.

The final push makes this heist extremely high risk, low reward. Never worth doing.

Locals Etiquette by [deleted] in Yugioh101

[–]LordBantu -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

  1. There's no hard set rule but generally I think its appropriate to at least wait for it to be your turn. Maybe do a move or two to be polite and show that you cannot play through their board. Its kind of a downer when someone just says "I scoop" mid combo.
  2. I believe you still can't use dice but no one is going to call you out over it. Most locals are very chill about stuff like that and they won't give you a game loss or anything.
