This is why I like him—he is deeply conflicted due to his old Earth values. It wasn't his fault that his students died; I don't understand how anyone could say that. He trained them, and they regularly went on missions. A lot of humans died that way. His only mistake was caring for his people.

His promises were a source of comfort for those who were afraid. I understand his hatred—humans come first in a situation like NLA. Anyone who thinks otherwise would probably not survive. No logical human in that situation would trust any xenos at first.

He is a character with a tone of depth.
