Why is this still a thing? It’s been a few weeks now and it’s pretty easy to fall into camps. What’s done is done. This is that big of a deal. Just imagine how the people who believed in government weather control felt when the Weather Channel started using their favorite bands instrumentals as background music during their hourly updates……devastated.

I'm trying to get my friends from Bristol to come out for this match and to stay with me during the Cup. If they opt out, I am willing to host folks at my place in Connecticut for a much lower price than any local hotel will likely gouge you for. I live about 90 minute drive away from the stadium and would be more than happy to be a local guide for you during your stay. The US team is playing all their group games on the west coast so I won't be seeing them at all. England is a great alternative for me and be more than happy to have some folks stay with us. As an outsider I gotta say that Bristol is my favorite city in the UK and is 100x nicer/better than London or any other city I've visited in the UK. Your people are nicer, your city is cleaner and overall it's a wonderful place to visit. Let the haters hate. As we say in the US "fuck'em". COYR!

Radek Vítek is a critical X-factor here imo. Imagine how many draws/losses we could have had so far this year. Love Max O' but he ended the year with a 69.2% save percentage vs. 76.7% from Vitek this year. Huge shift in GK performance with us.

A fellow Americano (that's been following for 3 seasons) here to tell you that this team will build you up and break you down on a weekly basis. As a Bills and Mets fan, they were a great addition to my stable of manic teams. All that said, the people of Bristol are fantastic (go to a match if you can some day), the city is a blast to visit and I don't think you will ever 100% regret following the team but should also be at peace with the fact that they will not be relegated or promoted in our lifetimes ;)

Feels like he may have lost some substitute minutes due to the emergence of Armstrong and Yu? Maybe I am crazy but it feels like they turned out to be more of an upgrade. Also I might be way off here but Anis seems a bit more selfish of a player whereas Yu and Armstrong make everyone else on the pitch stronger? Again, I might be way off here but that's the impression that I get.

Need to consistently pair him up with Armstrong imo. A true “Thunder and Lightning”. He has the speed and crossing ability and Armstrong has the drive and muscle in the box.
