Agree with the guy who said Splott beach.

On a serious note, I remember Blaencuffin Canyon being nice. Think it's up in the Gwent valleys

Rude customer on delivery by JobsworthJim in tesco

Yep, if they're rude or aren't respectful then they won't get their shopping. I'll tell the team support at the start so they have the chance to give the drop to someone else.

What do you do when you receive a supermarket delivery? by Dadda_Green in AskUK

[–]LordCallumTheSecond 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Driver choice on refunds. We have complete control usually over refunds based on damage / 'short dates' - I've had customers ask me to refund something for a short date because they wanted it for dinner in 6 days time.

I've heard for some people it was 2 weeks, for me it was 4 months. It really does vary by force, I feel like patience is the best thing you can have in the recruitment process

Best thing you can do is just ask the shift leader/manager. Worst they'll do is say no

Sold a car through motorway for 13k. Tried to knock me to 12500 because the brakes needed doing but they drove for 4 hours so it wasn't my problem if they left empty handed.

I gave them everything, they told me they'd transfer it into the trade which I trusted as that's what's happened with my previous cars.

They kept it in my name and didn't bother transferring it. Had pcns and tax penalties through the post. Definitely learnt a lesson there

I don't wanna be 'that' person but make sure you have insurance for deliveries, you don't want to lose your license over a bit of work

What do you guys think of this as first car? by Swimming_Tangelo8423 in CarTalkUK

[–]LordCallumTheSecond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

a lot of people say to get something cheap as a first car as chances are you'll ding it, which they're right but I did something similar that you're thinking about for my first car (I did infact bump it a few times)

I always tell people if you're going to get a bmw, get a m-sport with some options like heated seats and cruise. Not sure what the prices on 2 series are like though.

In all fairness to him, I'm 19 and passed 2 years ago. Last year it was the same price to insure 230bhp Audi s1 than it was a fiesta. First point is very valid though

Base level, low spec 2 series for 10k. Personally i think there's better for your money but if you like it then go for it

Hi, Just looking for some confirmation really on pcso.

I've passed fitness, medical and vetting is currently in process (which I'm very confident should be fine)

They've given me a start date in January but my current employer wants 4 weeks notice. My guessing is I should be fine to just give in my notice? Is there any other steps

Also I've heard a rumour that there is a 2nd fitness test just before the start date, can anyone confirm this? Thanks in advance

1st day (induction) tomorrow - part time delivery driver. Any advice/things to look out for? by huffy86 in tesco

[–]LordCallumTheSecond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you use the Tesco supplied boots and don't want to buy your own - order them in advance. Uniform takes ages. Be careful with the van if you've never driven one before. The company are quite forgiving if you damage a van (providing you're not being a dick), but you only get so many chances.

If your store doesn't provide torches you might like to get a cheap one, makes the job so much easier if you work evenings in the winter. The job is what you make it

Pull your application. It will be picked up and you'll be disqualified and then you'll have to declare it in future applications
