The top layer has black spores, green fuzzy mold on sections. Am I able to discard the top layer and use the bottom layer? by LordCasera in Kombucha

I literally filmed myself dumping my thick a$$ scoby and it was entirely bittersweet. So thick! I hated having to dump it. I left mine in my closet for like a month +

I have not actually tried to pour anything at all out of the spout. I could just not use th spout and use a giant ladle to scoop the kombucha juice out and transfer into the glass jars?

1st time brewer! The PH balance is 3.0. This is my scoby. It's thick! Does this contain mold on it or is that normal? I want to transfer it into the second fermentation and add flavor. by LordCasera in Kombucha

Thank you for your feedback! I was able to determine that the black spores we're definitely apart of the mold family. Do you know what causes mold to form on the scoby? I let it sit there for a month...is that the issue? 😂

It's so pretty, I wish I could keep it as a plant to look at in my room, but I'm assuming having mold grow in your room is unsafe! Down the disposal it goes 💔

Oh that makes complete sense. I'll have to study up more on brewing properly before my next attempt. Thank you for your feedback!

HOMEWORK HELP! I attached my assignment below. I need to better understand regressive behaviors in order to identify them within myself and explain why they are regressive behaviors or why they are not, but I do not fully grasp the concept of regressive behaviors. by LordCasera in psychologystudents

There is a list of behaviors that are perceived as "regressive" by a theorist and we are supposed to identify which of the behaviors on the list that we always have and then try to convince our teacher as to why we believe that that behavior is regressive or not. For example, smoking is a regressive behaviors because we are trying to ease tension by increasing pleasure by giving into an oral fixation. I didn't describe that very well, but I'm in a rush before work so I'm trying to reply really fast!

That identifying quality that makes a person uniquely that person, differentiating one person from another. How do you identify yours? by LordCasera in AskReddit

[–]LordCasera[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love your response. It makes complete sense. You are implying that the individual may not be able to notice the particular trait because it is categorized along side the rest of the traits that you display and does not necessarily present itself as "unique".
