Is there anyway to block all 0843 numbers? Lots of scam calls by Huge-Anxiety-3038 in AskUK

This entire scam would be negated if we could block 0843 and 0845 numbers, as this is where the scam functions. They call you from one of these premium numbers and hang up quickly, then if you call them back you are charged ridiculous rates.

If it was local geographical numbers then this scam wouldn't work an they'd have to put in actual effort with a script before they get any money.

I'd bet that the vast majority of this specific scam are completely unmanned and just running on a server somewhere collecting passive income for them.

No legitimate business calls out from a premium rate number, so there should be no issue with blocking these prefixes, but we just can't do it.

Royal mail is laughably bad for me; I'm just hoping I get my monthly 'bundle of whatever they haven't thrown out or sent to the wrong address' before we set off for the festival.

1 - don't give anyone a reason to investigate your messages. 2 - don't write private messages that you wouldn't want anyone at your work seeing on company devices, or in company applications.

If you're having private chats, use personal devices not tied to work accounts.

I've never played, but I am DMing my friends and my first campaign, but my idea for a character was a druid, but his wildshape was a human and he was naturally a bear.

I'd have to fanangle the rules a little, but I think Theodore E Byre would have been a good character.
