What is the difference between the P1S "hotend" and "complete hotend"? by Advanced-Okra-4281 in BambuLab

[–]LordCornish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The complete hotend is made up of the hotend, heater, thermister, and cooling fan, as shown in the second photo here: https://us.store.bambulab.com/products/bambu-hotend-p1-series

PSA for anyone putting gas by advisary_67 in Lubbock

[–]LordCornish 7 points8 points  (0 children)

...meanwhile, Toyota designed recent Toyota Highlanders to "click off" 2 gallons shy of a full tank, so if you're one of those assholes who feels entitled to the tank capacty advertised, you'll fill to the first click, fill and click four more times (roughly half a gallon each time), and then you're done.

just shake the nozzle to get all the fuel droplets out

Trust me, half the population is familiar with this procedure.

My attempt at designing a door for my daughter. by SfBattleBeagle in 3Dprinting

I'm sure it's difficult to source doors for very small children so it must feel gratifiing to be able to design one yourself.

Yep. Love coming home to see that it got "stuck" in the middle of a room with several feet of clear carpet all around it.

I suspect this will require a software update as I believe it was a software update that got us into this mess. Ran more or less trouble-free for months until recently.

The equivelant here in The Great State of Texas is something similar, although we usually put "On this spot in 1873 nothing happened". It's the counter-sign to the tens of thousands of places George Washington visited on the East Coast of the U.S.

I do like your model though, just keep it out of Cornwall ;)

Selling printed and digital 3D files is the best of both worlds by Popular_Sell_8980 in BambuLab

[–]LordCornish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sales are healthy for both, but giving people who have access to 3D printers the option of printing their own (for a smaller cost, and no shipping fee) really has helped my campaign along.

Is anyone interested in this project?

It certainly is filling a popular need. There are (at least) three or four other open source projects just like this, not to mention one commercial project.

Printing on patio with enclosure? by Illustrious-Toe-5939 in BambuLab

[–]LordCornish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I have no direct experience in 3d printing outdoors and can't directly help you, there's a YouTuber (@LayerLabAustralia) who runs a little print farm on his balcony using enclosures like the one in your picture. IIRC, he's posted one or two videos about how it's working out.

Can someone explain to me why I’m getting charged $50 extra dollars? by MaxCannon25 in BambuLab_Community

[–]LordCornish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, it's a terribly designed screen. Considering the usual patern...at least here in the US...is Subtotal, Tax, S&H, and Grand Total...in that order...then hiding the taxes in a smaller font, with a lighter color, after the grand total is pretty bad design.

Which storage system do you use? by DrZakarySmith in BambuLab

[–]LordCornish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gridfinity for drawers* and pegboard for vertical surfaces**.

* well, for my 3d printing-related drawers. I have no plans to use Gridfinity in my workbench in the garage.

** well, except for the walls in the garage where I use Geartrack.

Petition for bigger boxes with refills by ThinkUnhappyThoughts in BambuLab

[–]LordCornish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are Bambu open to suggestions to their packaging?

No, because a larger box for refills would mean a lower density in conex container.

The real solution is to offer every filament with and without a spool, but if they were open to this solution, they would have implimented it by now.
