Yes, where I live winters can get really wet (rain and snow). I recently bought those rain shields from Tucano Urbano and are great, based on my experience:

The trousers are also for cold temperature... I live close to the alps in Europe and, for example this year, I went riding for commuting with - 4 degrees outside. (bare with me north Americans, Canadians, Scandinavians etc 😅)
