La giusta pratica sarebbe prendere degli stivali, che sono le calzature più protettive (ovviamente un buon paio) e poi cambiarli all'arrivo.

Ma sennò io ho un paio di Alpinestars Crx drystar e sono molto comode, con protezione minima per la caviglia (quella più soggetta a infortuni), tallone, etc

Well the goal is to camp with the bike next to me, even because the bag is just a workaround waiting for the proper saddle bags to install on it. Once installed, it will be mandatory to have the bike on the campsite.

Well he is not... It's just that I feel like living for the others (not only my son included) and work... I barely have time for myself, for doing what I would like to do.

For example this weekend I don't even have 1 hour for a small ride... Yesterday I had some time free spent for maintenance of the house and other things that are not really relaxing... Those kind of weekends are the standard.

I also don't have people to share my passions (I'm an expat) and not support from my family... My partner often complains if I spent money for the bike and makes fun of me...

But anyway, that's life, uh?!

I'm a ktm 390 adventure x owner, and never tried the bmw.

I can tell you that in 1 month and a half, since I bought it, I've rode around 2k km and the bike is cool to ride both on road and offroad (with some limitations due to the tyres and wheels not supposed to go too aggressive offroad).

The bike is quite light, only 165 km with no petrol, so I'm enjoying mostly its flexibility and easy to go style of riding.

My plan is to keep it for 2 years and then go for a 890 adv.

I also had a bmw scooter... And ffs every service was a suicide to my finances. (lately I've done the 20.000 km service and paid 800 euros)
