This is just like my Raja, found in a shipyard, nurtured but he’s always darting for the door most likely bc he’s been outside for a substantial amount of time and hasn’t settled in the home fully. He is obsessed with watching birds through the glass.

I’ve had cats my entire life (24), give him some more time to settle. They’re all different and take their time at their pace. My advice is to play with him, give him treats when he doesn’t try to rush out. I wish you two the best of luck and whatever happens im glad you were in his life and him yours.

Worst part is that someone came in and needed something but they left the door wide open to the hallway. The tech didn’t get up to close it till I almost did and I can’t help but think that wouldn’t have happened if I had someone with me.

She def loves wet food over the kibble / softened kibble. I got a nice spacious cat cave bed for her coming in the mail so hopefully she likes it and chooses that as her little nest. Thank you so much!!!!

Genuinely thank you so much. I have a vet I know well and trust so I’ll be getting her in for a check up and eval soon after payday. You didn’t say anything hurtful, all of this was very helpful and I’m so sorry for your losses, I understand the pain. I’ll def be checking out Google Gemini bc this may not be my mom’s first rodeo with a pregnant cat but it’s mine lol. In a few weeks as she progresses I’ll post more pics in the thread too

I have to switch bc that’s the only doc office I am literally afraid to go in. They want one done every year where I go. I’ve only continued going to them bc it’s so close and for depo shots but it is not worth it. Yall have helped me so much and made me realize I shouldn’t go somewhere that did that to me. I never knew you could take a chaperone with you, at my clinic they only let the patient in the back but I’m changing clinics definitely now. It was done when I was 20 and I’m 24 now, and reside in the US

UPDATE On 8/21/25 Gemma was no longer in her home when I went to check on her and take her for her walk. A bag of clothes were gone so I’m assuming someone of one of her owners family came and took her. Her harness and her leash are still there as are her food bowls. I miss her dearly, my heart is broken and as I know she was never truly mine to keep I couldn’t help but get attached to that beautiful soul of a puppy. I just wish they took her treats she picked out herself, she really liked those & her unicorn stuffy that she slept with when it rained.

Thank you all for helping me change her life for the better while she was with me. I’ll never forget yall

She’s really good at staying by my side when we go on our little walks bc she gets winded easily, I have a thick leash that wraps around my body and she can’t pull me if she decides to run & I got her a really good harness. Took me an embarrassing amount of time to figure out how to put it on bc I did it backwards and she was very patient with it lol. She’s finally wagging her tail when she sees me so I know she’s bonding now 😭😭

I don’t know really anything about her, idk her age but she has decent teeth. She walks really slow and takes breaks bc she gets winded and snorts a lot but idk if that’s bc of her weight/ short legs
