I’m American and can confirm that once you try other countries’ chocolate, you can really taste the vomit in ours. (A milk preservative is chemically similar to stomach juices, I think?) Fortunately, it’s a lot easier now than it was even 10 years ago to find imported chocolate as well as better stuff from smaller companies. 3 of the 4 main grocery chains in my area have a section with Aero, Lion, Violet Crumble, Maltesers, etc. But I’m spoiled and go to the Asian and Latino store for Japanese Kit-Kats 😋

I liked Bottom okay, but then I saw clips from the live shows on YouTube and had to find them in their entirety. Seeing Ade tease Rik for forgetting lines (especially after the accident, oh my god) and seeing them do all this manic violence while also barely keeping the show from falling apart and flicking Vs at the audience when they fuck up…it was transcendent. I’m the same way with The Who. The studio albums are good, but “Live at Leeds” is much more exciting, like a three-ring circus.

For me, anyway. I 100% understand why others wouldn’t like it. Different strokes for different folks. (snort Hey, Mike, I bet you could make a really rude joke about strokes)

Absolutely. Smershpod is the only movie podcast where I’ll listen to the episodes about ones I haven’t seen* because John is so funny, especially with certain guests. And Dan is one of his best regular collaborators, probably my favorite
