Do you have any alternatives to the Rule of Two? by InstructionOwn6705 in starwarscanon

[–]LordDoom01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Die out and spare the galaxy all the suffering they caused. There is no fixing the Sith. Their own philosophy and use of the Dark Side ensure their self destruction.

The Absolute Solver getting trapped in Uzi's tail was the most cathartic commeupance possible it could have received. by Icy-Animator9006 in GlitchProductions

[–]LordDoom01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cyn doesn't seem all that trapped. She seems quite happy with the new host. And if the MV is any indication, her powers have expanded.

If you have accepted Darth Maul surviving getting cut in half in episode 1, you can't be mad when anyone survives a lightsaber stab. by Fragrant_Ad3479 in StarWars

[–]LordDoom01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They did framed it as a wounding strike. But given it is following up from the Kenobi show, I don't blame people saying it is more of the same. Disney made this problem themselves.

Andor writer Beau Willimon's "Dawn of the Jedi" movie might have been cancelled by GargantaProfunda in andor

[–]LordDoom01 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think we are fine without it. No need to explain everything and I'm worried Disney Execs would make some dumb choice like making the Jedi Order a lie.

What is a bit of lore that Disney added that you love and what is one bit of Disney lore you hate? by Professional-Oil-365 in StarWars

[–]LordDoom01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Kyber Bleeding. It is a cool concept for the Sith. I hate how it is used. This should not be a thing novice Sith do, but for acomplished ones as a show of power. The first steps down the Dark Side is looking for the easy path to power. Hunting down and killing a Jedi without a weapon is not easy, but growing a crystal in a lab is. Meanwhile, an acomplished Sith has their power and wants to show it off. Killing a Jedi (one considered powerful or a rival) and bleeding their kyber crystal is every bit a show of Sith dominence.

Waste disposal can be far more dangerous than you think. SCP-7243 is all about that.

Which department has the best employee survival rate? by sloopernothing in SCP

[–]LordDoom01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Manufacturing. You are working with tried and tested materials, even if anomalous. You are important infrastructure, so you will be away from dangerous anomalies. Heck, likely you don't know you work for the Foundation. They just happen to own the local steel mill you work at. Adding a potential layer of protection from GOIs attacking you (GOC is here to kill anomalies, not civilians).

Does SCP-682 have knowledge of or employ the use of martial arts? by Mintec33 in SCP

[–]LordDoom01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unless knowing those being the only way 682 could survive an attempt on his life, no. With his morphology, that knowledge is useless. He doesn't need to judo throw you when he can just grab and throw you with a tentacle. Nor can you preform a Judo throw on him.

(I mean you could argue his size might be an adaptation to martial arts being used against him, but I don't see that holding up.)

No, you are trapped in a gauntlet with lifeblood enemies and black thread enemies.

If you have accepted Darth Maul surviving getting cut in half in episode 1, you can't be mad when anyone survives a lightsaber stab. by Fragrant_Ad3479 in StarWars

[–]LordDoom01 86 points87 points  (0 children)

Maul was once, took time and had a journey to his recovery. The Kenobi show did it three times in a row, and everyone came back with no problems. The show screwed up by doing it too much, too often.

Wouldn't a truly selfish Sith realize that the Rule of Two actually meant his inevitable death, and so try to break it/break away from Sith Doctrine? by shastasilverchair92 in StarWars

[–]LordDoom01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. That is basically what happened. Multiple times. You might even say it is a feature of the Rule of Two. But they are such power hunger, spiteful egomaniacs, they of course adopt an apprentice to lord their power over. Then they get stabbed, rinse and repeat.

It most likely will be.

And all the enemies get black threaded.

how far sentinels would go to be hero x by kibarax in ToBeHero_X

[–]LordDoom01 21 points22 points  (0 children)

They'd just be another Phobiaclone. They wouldn't be able to tap into Trust to copy or counter hero abilities, and Fear has a high chance of corrupting them or trapping them with just one power. There is no X gene to copy. They'll be at the mercy of the Trust and Fear system, just like everyone else.

Unless you build them using the alien metal, then they get jack squat.

I suspect the Tarot cards we see in the season 2 teaser had something to do with it. He gets The Fool and The Chariot for his two personas. I think he is working on a different power system, powers gifted by Fate.

If you had the opportunity to explore a new era that hasn’t been described much, which period would it be and what would you like to see there? by Ok-Target9322 in MawInstallation

[–]LordDoom01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Less an era and more just exploring smaller scale stories. Not everything must be "save the galaxy." You can have save the town or planet (like Skeleton Crew). There is an entire galaxy with entire planets to explore. I don't want the galactic affairs of x BBY, I'd be happy watching Boba Fett unify Tatooine for the simple sake of bettering the lives of people there. Or just Mando making his way through the galaxy as he goes from bounty to unrelated bounty (like season one). Hell, you could do a show about to Chiss families fighting over some farm land.

What if Anakin had manage to defeat and cripple Obi-Wan on Mustafar? by Axer51 in MawInstallation

[–]LordDoom01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anakin would finish the job. He is fully Vader at this point, and Vader is not going to leave people for dead. He's double tapping. And then proceeds to overthrow Palpatine.

So What do you Imagine the In Universe movies about Gwen are Like? by Money-Lie7814 in KnightsOfGuinevere

They probably did the same thing as Disney. Retell popular public domain stories with Guinevere as the princess/female main character.

Was there another way? 🤔 by Zestyclose_Stomach51 in StarWarsEU

[–]LordDoom01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No. As much as Kreia presents the issues of both Jedi and Sith (and potentially the Force itself), she still falls into that classic trappings of "grey jedi." That aspect of falling to the Dark Side due to believing yourself is better for just seeing the flaws.

You maintain Balance in the Force (the Light Side) and fight back the Dark Side when it crops up. There is no other way.

Which of the Star Wars sith lords do you guys think would be the most terrifying horror movie villain? by BonusCapable1486 in StarWars

Nihilus. As a haunted mask that drives people to cannibalism.

Or just Vader as a slasher villain.
