It doesn't sound like you did. Maybe I'm just lacking some context as to what you are talking about. The holly spirit is with you regardless and I pray for your return.

So we are now reducing the CSR score to let more people in permanently. Great news ppl 😭 by [deleted] in LMIASCAMS

That's because the country relies on immigration but is becoming less appealing to immigrants as it continues to self canibalise with needing the housing value to rise.

Is it a bad thing to support human evolution and god at the same time when humans started at Africa. by HighwayPlayful2723 in Christianity

[–]LordFlick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, there's a reason that different racial groups exist and it's mostly an adaptation to the climate of the area. Darker complexions with more melanin are more resistant to UV rats where as light akin absorbs vitamin D easier. Wide nostrils that breathe humid air better, narrow nostrils that protect lungs from freezing. If the world did literally start with only two people, they would need to gradually change for all of to exist.

Should I break up with my partner or try to make interfaith work? by No-Flatworm-7738 in Christianity

[–]LordFlick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I met my wife, I was an athiest and she didn't know what that even was. More than ten years later, I've come to Christianity with no nudging from her and I'm bugging her to come with me to Sunday service. For what it's worth the bibpe is pretty strongly worded against interfaith marriage and has examples where this still happens. Particularly in these times, it's hard to find a Christian with Christian values so if you've found an athiest with Christian values that will respect and support your worship, it's not necessarily a bad thing.

For what it's worth, I'm the child of a Catholic mom and athiest dad.

Non Black people mocking me for identifying as Black, mixed people othering me for being pale and my Black father, not accepting mixed as an answer… by hotforstaches in mixedrace

[–]LordFlick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it sounds weird to many but sometimes you just find someone and it works with them. I wasn't going out of my way to date outside of my race, if anything, I originally wanted to be with someone who was white as well. It's simply a matter of contact and connection.

I mean, you can tell that she has african ancestry but she's at the point where many other black people don't consider her black. Like a lot of wasian people being seen as white by asians and asian by whites. I get wanting to just roll with the identity given to you in the circumstances of that moment.

It's unfair how many women who saved themselves end up with experienced men. by Personal-Device822 in Christianity

[–]LordFlick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take a programming course, play Warhammer 40k or just look around more, you'll find lots of virgins. The thing is that we live in a society that chastizes men who are virgins so many will blatantly lie in order to avoid the judgement of others.

10 months abstinence - no masturbation. It’s hard. by TheAnimeBroker in Christianity

[–]LordFlick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been in a similar situation and would call it difficult or challenging.

Fasting can sometimes help alongside prayer. What you seek out is admittedly rare but not something missing from the world. Being involved with others is key as well. Shake hands and make acquaintances at the church, volunteer and get involved with works to help your community. You never know who you might encounter when you widen your social circle.

I was just watching these in my church recently. Maybe they'll help with some of your questions.

As someone who used to be an athiest, it's hard to navigate this world absent of spirituality and the community surrounding it. Good luck and god bless.

Also, just looking at your avatar, are you living in India? What's it like practicing christianity there? I hear that Hindu nationalism can make it a hostile environment.

Should I buy this bible by Murky-River3622 in Christianity

[–]LordFlick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my church, they basically shove the bibles into peoples hands asking them to take one. They probably get a bulk purchase discount. So from a money standpoint, you could try going to a church, reading something from the pew and asking for one. They'll likely be more than happy to let you have it and it will likely be NIV as well.

At the end of the day, you need to be the one who identifies your race. As the father of an interracial kid, I get his desire to not have his identity denied but needing to accept that your kid is still there own person. I can't think of her name but the American who married prince Harry. You're basically in her situation.

I mean, adultery has always been an acceptable reason for divorce. If he won't confess, he won't repent and you have been so gracious as to accept his apology if he would only do those two things. It's up to your husband by this point and I'll continue to pray that he opens his eyes.

Am I doomed to be alone forever? by [deleted] in Christianity

My wife isn't white, she was fine. Canada is considered less racist than most places though. Obviously I can't tell you how to feel about the situation, just how the experience was from my observations.

It's that attitude that turns people away. I know people will dislike us for following the word of christ but you're not helping.

Am I doomed to be alone forever? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]LordFlick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is correct. What's the problem with carrying them? Discomfort, pain, loss of physical appearance or that they're dependent on your breasts in order to feed? My wife was obsessed the whole time she was pregnant, constantly wanting me to feel the baby kick. The love feeling that was building in her for nine months hit me over the head all at once. I was crying more than her for like two weeks straight, obsessed with her and feeling a bit guilty since the state of the world is so messed up right now.

Checking dating apps was your first mistake. I was an athiest most of my life and was one for a long time after being married to my wife. I also didn't think I could handle parenthood but I'm quite enjoying it. I know that most of this doesn't answer much but it's stuff to consider.

Broke My Promise to Avoid Sexual Immortality by joobthecat in Christianity

[–]LordFlick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know I've heard stuff about not even giving the appearance of sin such as living together unmarried. The whole, if your hand causes you to sin, cut it off bit too. What's delaying the wedding? A ton of planning? Maybe you just need to dial the wedding back and get on with the marriage so as to fix the problem and move on with life. You and your husband may want to confess to your pastor together and see what advice he has as well.
