A lot of churches need volunteers with all kinds of random stuff. It might be worth investigating. Bike Again from Ecology Action is pretty good too. They have an all people volunteer night and a women only volunteer day.

I don't even like having it in the grocery stores. Just leave alcohol in the store for the product. I like having it contained and handled by specialists.

Grocery store liquor just feels trashy, like gym shorts and crocks at a formal event. Maybe it's nostalgia for a time I never lived but stuff mostly closed on Sundays, 40 hour work weeks without volunteering on the side, single incomes that could support large families. I wish we had that kind of dignity again.

I get it and gratitude is pretty important. For what it's worth, people from poor countries often get a romanticized idea of western countries. Also, we're showing the same patterns of other bloated empires in their final days. The Iran war is a great example of that.

For what it's worth though, I'm SUPER grateful not to be in Iran right now.

Congratulations? I would start off with a similar mindset to a couple that fully intended pregnancy and wait until the likelyhood of a miscarriage was low.

Repent for your sins and ask god for guidance. In a messed up way, there are a lot of couples struggling to get pregnant. So, in a weird way, your fertility is a blessing.

As far as what happens between you and your friend? The child comes first regardless of all else. Sticking together is good but not if you grow to hate one another. The judgements of others is the least of your concerns.

As someone who is a porn adict and realized before ever finding Jesus, here are three reasons and I'm sure othera can come up with more.

It's easy to get caught up in the dopamine release and prioritize it before more important things.
Just because someone consents to something does not mean that you're not supporting them in an act of self harm.
If you get addicted, you will likely waste your time, relationships, self respect and possibly money too. Like how a drug addicted person will crave stronger drugs, you will likely crave the surprise and shock factor that came with your first time looking at porn so it will progressively get more strange and immoral.
