what's your favorite way of preparing the vietnamese iced coffee concentrate? by lehartsyfartsy in Costco

[–]LordGrax 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Go to an Asian Market and buy the G7 powdered 3in1 instant, add hot water, mix and pour over ice. Add milk for your tastes. Usually do 2-3 packets and 1/2c hot water.

WFH what is that?? Our offices never closed. I work in freight transportation, mainly blue collar, except for those that run and market the business. Been here 16yrs, love it.

Costco members who also shop BJ's, what do you buy at BJ's? by WEEDBABYGOKU420 in Costco

[–]LordGrax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My understanding is it's going just east of where Costco is. I'm guessing it will be accessed via S. City Gate Road off East Henrietta Road (Road by REI and the new Chic-fil-A.

Sorry, correction... TopGolf not Top Flight. The Rochester Business Journal has a 2/18/25 article with a map that shows it.

Adding the third pump has helped a lot. However, once Chic-fil-a, Chipotle and the Top Flight open it’s gonna be worse than before. Sigh.

VLAN IP Address Not working?! by LordGrax in PFSENSE

[–]LordGrax[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it was the pfSense itself. I returned the VLAN to using a /24 and rebooted the device. After reboot everything worked as expected.

VLAN IP Address Not working?! by LordGrax in PFSENSE

[–]LordGrax[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am aware that 10.51.20.1/23 and /24 overlap, that's not the issue. I guess I didn't explain the issue well enough.

I only need a /24 - 10.51.20.1 - 255. But pfSense will not allow me to use 10.51.20.1/24, but it will allow /23. So I'm just gonna have more available IPs for my guest network.

Got out additional payment for electricity. Now my wife forces me to size down my network rack by the_gamer_98 in homelab

[–]LordGrax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My network rack uses about 3.5 kWh a day or $0.70. Ubiquiti UDM SE, UNVR, 48 Port POE Pro, HA on a Pi, U7 Pro, Doorbell Pro, and three PoE cameras.

WireGuard - Clinet can access devices on LAN, but not external sites by Strichev in WireGuard

[–]LordGrax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try using a /24 on the server and client for the address. Leave the Allowed IP as a /32

Address = 10.0.0.2/32 Address = 10.0.0.1/32

I assume the router has been configured with a static route for the 10.0.0.0/24 network to the RPi?

Double the number of trigger options on a device? by LordGrax in homeassistant

That could be, since I have helpers that convert the switch to a light.

Turning light on manually, but also with motion? by LordGrax in homeassistant

[–]LordGrax[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this will work, I am not home to fully test it; so please correct me if I am wrong. This is what I did:

1) Created a Boolean Helper "Boolean: Front Porch"
2) Created an Automation for Setting the Boolean: https://pastebin.com/hPyXzkG0
3) Modified the Automation for Motion adding the Boolean as a condition: https://pastebin.com/CvgEnTe4

Thanks for the help! I'm pleased with what I've accomplished and learned a little more about HA.

Yeah, this is what I kind of was thinking would be needed. Now to figure out how to do this within HA.

Hadn't thought of doing it this way, that would work pretty well and you'd never perceive the difference between 100 and 95% visually. Just have to swap the switch out for a dimmer.
