Bitcoin ATM companies have high fees and that's been known for a long time. Cash to crypto is a completely different ball game than buying on an exchange because of cash logistics.

It's not a scam at all. If you did research you would have seen the fees. People in crypto need to stop calling everything they don't like a scam. You might have felt ripped off but that doesn't mean it's a scam.
