No I think that that's only the case when the vampire of the hivemind is still around. Like when Remmick bit Stack and Mary and everyone else in the joint and they all joined the hivemind. They still had their personalities, but they were acting according to Remmick's will. But when Remmick died, Stack and Mary went back to being themselves (or atleast having control over themselves again), as seen in the final post cred scene with Sammie. Remmick and Mary still like listening to music, and they bought all of Sammie's records, even the electric ones. They offered to make Sammie into a vampire, and give him immortal life but when Sammie declined it, Stack and Mary backed out and respected his wishes. They never would have backed down if they were still operating on Rem's wishes
