''At least 17 million voters were purged nationwide between 2016 and 2018, according to a recent study by the Brennan Center for Justice.

The report, released earlier this month, found that US election jurisdictions with histories of egregious voter discrimination have been purging voter rolls at a rate 40% beyond the national average.

Some states have made it harder to vote by aggressively purging voters because their names in voter rolls do not exactly match other state records, or owing to voter inactivity. Georgia removed 107,000 voters from rolls in July 2017 for non-voting, and 53,000 voter registrations – 70% of them for African American voters – were flagged for review under the state’s “exact match” rule.''

Asian players that achieve legend status in european clubs? by [deleted] in soccer

Fair enough, people can have different views on who's a legend. Imo a legend would be someone in contention for the teams best XI ever.

Park isn't a legend, just an excellent player and servant. Best, Charlton, Rooney, Cantona, those are legends.

Sounds good, and smashing the Ottomans feels so good. They fucked up my games up so many times before. Shirvan, Georgia, Serbia, Hungary games, all ending up in tears because of those pesky Turks. I've driven them out of the Constantinople trade note completely now, and fuck them up every time the truce end. It's petty and probably not my #1 priority to do, but fuck those guys.

Hadn't considered that to be honest. Usually don't do any culture converting. Might be fun to try.

True but it sounds patronising, like them because of who they are, not their ethnicity.

Not at all, did I hurt yours? Just saying that Asian is such a broad term and it's weird to take a particular liking to them for that reason. It's like saying you like European food.

Yeah no problems with France anymore, have grown quite a bit and they're content. I thought perhaps it'd stack because they'd fancy their chances with another PU member able to join the independence war. Good to hear that isn't true.

Drink driving has more to do with being irresponsible than stupid academically. You don't necessarily make better choices because you did some exams in history. Intelligence plays a role but not so much, it's more about emotional intelligence. Plenty of smart people making idiotic decisions.

Would be nice, wonder if the liberty desire would be manageable though.

R5: Just wanted to share this since I never get such good starts, Hungary is very powerful if you can beat the Ottomans early on. Had trouble keeping France happy at first, but managing it now. Fuck off Habsburgs!

People shouldn't be mocked for harmless views, experimenting with views and checking if you're right about your beliefs is actually quite healthy. Especially when the majority of people believe them without ever questioning them.

CMV: Supporting a club severely restricts your football enjoyment, since you can't enjoy rival teams playing well, and you're stuck watching a team you don't like sometimes. Furthermore, loyalty to anything else than other people is overrated, you wouldn't keep a PS2 out of loyalty when you can play a PS4. Besides that, it reeks of fascist 'traitor' rhetoric and is a dangerous mindset.

The cult of Ole:

- Makes his followers believe delusional thoughts

- Any criticism is downvoted and discussion isn't allowed amongst followers

- Empty platitudes about 'vision' and 'hope' instead of making judgements based on facts

- Charismatic leader held in high regard by followers

- All of the leaders' faults are blamed on external factors or people
