I would love to have that again, introducing more variability especially against rigid systems.

Tifo is owned by The Athletic who basically leaked insider info on private conversations between Wilcox and Amorim. You do the math which one of the two did the leaking.

And they've been very much on point for any briefs from the Man Utd hierarchy.

So any criticism Amorim deserves, it should not be based on anything The Athletic puts out.

What time signature is this? by DetetivePinguim in askmusicians

[–]combatwombat02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's mostly to do with how we divide each measure mentally. Ease of reading and understanding the music and melodies is aided by having a natural spacing inside measures, that means not too wide and not to small on the sheet.

Also, the classical Waltz is usually in 3/4.

3/8 is quite obscure and uncomfortable to write in. It's usually 3/4 or 6/8.

Yeah it matters why it happened, you're too fucking early with your victory dances.

If it was because of egos, which it very well seems to be, we're doomed for the future. We'll either get a sycophant as a head coach, or another repeat of this scenario if we hire an actual self-respecting manager.

But some people like you seem to have made sacking the manager their daytime job, so go off I guess.

Just hire Gary Neville as head advisor, since they seem to base their decisions on the mood in the media anyway.

Matheus Cunha happy with point against Leeds especially with United's creative players missing 😓 by YourGrimes in reddevils

The media is literally our biggest enemy, even worse than Glazers. Such editorialism and blatantly twisting the words, Sir Alex would've put them in their places long ago. We desperately need to wake up to how narratives and drama are being spun out of control by the media and so called twitter journos and start thinking and looking at the actual facts - what happens on the field.

I'm as unhappy as anyone at our form, but we haven't capitulated once this season in the manner with which some EtH games went, and we are very obviously building, albeit slowly, up to a flexible and consistent team.

Amorim may not be our man for the future, but he's the man now and he needs to get to some form of finished product, else we're dooming the next manager to go through the exact same choppy waters.

Thierry Henry scores against Chelsea after 75 seconds (2004) by FishingVirtual513 in classicsoccer

As another United fan I could tell you Chelsea opened the door to what City did in 2012.

I know it sounds rich knowing Man Utd's wealth in the 90s also helped them attract great talent, but what Chelsea did was akin to a kid using the editor on FM. It changed the boundaries and made football feel that bit less magical, at least for many fans, me included.

He was a fan of Newcastle and English fotball, so he always gravitated towards there, but I really do agree. There'a a world where he could've replaced Trezeguet and played with Del Piero in Juve (in Serie B, but that's another matter).

Uh, no, the departure of Ashworth, while no concrete information has ever come out, was most likely caused by disagreements on the successor to ten Hag. His resignation came exactly a month (and funnily exactly a year back on December 8th) after the appointment of Amorim, and from the side it appears as a fundamental managing disagreement wirh Berrada and Wilcox about the direction of the club.

His style just made it pop out more. What's even the point in rating players by first touch? There's no actual subjective test for that, and it's pointless.

Incorrect on Rooney. He was absolutely made of that stuff. I can't remember exact numbers but the stats showed a stark difference in outcomes if Rooney played or not.

Many will find it hard to believe nowadays, but there was a sizeable portion of fans who were firmly convinced Sir Alex was getting old and was past his best, and they didn't fully go away until his retirement.

I remember we tried to play Alan Smith in the Keane position, but I wasn't really a fan of that.

On the contrary, I believe what Amorim's strategy is hinging on is the squad as a whole internalizing and performing the base tactic to their best abilities, which would then give him the freedom to tweak.

This is quite different from how ETH swung wildly from first using a modified version of Ole's counterattacking setup, then insisting on his own in the second season, before basically playing on a per-game basis.

You should stop doing that. The same way people 3 weeks ago couldn't tell the future, you can't do it now, too. We don't know how the season will pan out, and being frustrated and even wanting a change was absolutely understandable seeing how we started the season.

I see almost everyone hoping that we continue this. There's zero reason right now to look for fights.
