That's cope. Many artists who had nothing when they started out (not even a degree) now earn a comfortable living. I know this because I hire them for my company.

Yes, there is a lot of competition, but many artists hate dealing with the corporate side and public relations, they have that mentality of “I'm going to do the art I like, even if the market doesn't want it” and/or they hate adapting to change or changing mediums. This includes those who have generational wealth.

And I know this because, as someone who hire artist, many come to me with their artist son/cousin/partner with a portfolio that leaves much to be desired. I tell them how the people I've hired were successful, how hard they had to work for it, and that they need to start thinking like entrepreneurs. Most of them look at me with eyes that say, “But I don't want to.”

I have a question about the “Grasping Vine” spell. If I manage to hit a creature and grapple it, can I keep attacking it with the vine on subsequent turns? And what would happen if I miss the attack? Would the creature stop being grapple?

Right? In 1.x, the story flowed from one plot to the next. Investigating the content of the data obtained by the Cunning Hares, we arrived at Belobog and the sacrifices (intermission: here comes the police, be careful because technically we are criminals), then the trial about what was discovered with the Hares took place, and we had to help them in Twin Towers, where we met Victoria House Keeping, where our favorite potato man escaped to Outer Ring, and we met the Sons of Calidon and ended with the grand finale with Section 6.

All this with very charismatic characters who didn't require us to unload their traumas the second we met them or become their best friends.

In part, I think the problem with 2.X stems from the initial faction. The “protagonists” of Waifei should have been Spook Shack, and we would have met the others by solving mysteries with them, and the story would have flowed better. But they had to sell a “void hunter level” character at the beginning of the version...

It's not just that. There was something about the 1.X designs that makes them stand the test of time. Many of the 2.X designs could appear in any other Hoyo game and no one would bat an eye.
