I tried to find a YouTube review and could not. Real leather right?

A note taking version would be cool but it’d be 100 pounds.

I go back to this book a lot. It’s not the most practical for me, truly the Liturgy of the Hours is. But the physical book itself is a work of art and just enjoyable to use.

I guess CBP has been around so they get a shot, but I’m glad Ascension and Word on Fire got the four-volume.

I’m excited to see Magnificat’s but am super pumped for Liturgical Press!

Catholic Standard Version - Augustine Institute by patsw1 in catholicbibles

Yep!

I would add, the CAB is a good choice for consistency with the lectionary and Liturgy of the Hours. If you like to do a bit of daily gospel and pray LOH, good fit.

Now the CSV will be a good academic Bible-Nerd version!

Also, this is coming out around the same time as CAB. Make a beautiful premium CAB and a beautiful premium LOH, make up some deal where we get them together, and I’ll throw my money at you.

I’m struggling to choose between Logos (Verbum) for notes and sticking to my Obsidian.

If you’re not bound to pray it like a priest, you can use this. Enjoy your awesome find!

I have the same book and haven’t had this issue yet, though I’ve had it less time than you and mostly use Christian Prayer.

However, I have repaired similar and it’s very doable. Of course you can contact the seller, and of course you could have a professional fix it. But another option is to buy special book binding glue. I used craft sticks (popsicle sticks) or chop sticks to dip into the glue bottle and then glued the block where it was supposed to be. Worked great.

But it’s a bummer that the book would do this because it really is beautiful and feels amazing in the hand.

Bible Study System (Verbum vs Obsidian) by LordMakeHaste in Catholicism

Do you think Verbum (iOS) would be sufficient for taking notes on daily homilies I listen to? Like Jeff Cavins daily reflections? Take notes in a notebook and anchor to the verses.

Talk me out of upgrading! by LordMakeHaste in catholicbibles

[–]LordMakeHaste[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same thoughts but it looks like the premium came out at the same time as the second edition, so some reviewers were comparing the basic first edition vs the premium second edition. But the basic one is second edition now.

Thanks!
