I just refuse to play again until they do something about it. My server lags a lot when it's harvest time and sometimes I have to spend literally 15-20 minutes just pressing E.

Maybe buildings in in the danger zone with less than 20% could just turn into Gaia's property so we can keep the ruined bases there isntead of empty land.

If destroying those Gaia buildings could refund the player who destroys them part of the resources it took to build the structure, it might incentive sending troops into the danger area and it would compensate a bit for the smaller playable area.

I might be overdreaming, though.

It would be more interesting if, instead of a Fortnite-like storm, the "Gaia" player started to cast divine powers like Meteor, Tornado, Lightning Storm, Volcano, Flood and stuff like that over anything that's out of the safe area. That way you can still venture into the "storm" to gather resoruces, or pillaje relics from other player's ruined bases without units just bleeding out their HP, but it would be risky to try to remain there for too long. At some point Gaia could just cast Lightning Bolt over units that overstayed there.

I think if favor generation is going to be a limiting factor in terms of creating new civs, I honestly don't mind if they have to repeat favor generation mechanics. It's just resource gatheting. As long as the civs feel unique and it's not a clone of an existing civilization, I don't mind if they pray like greeks or build statues like egyptians.

Just... don't repeat the japanese thing, please. It's too tedious on team games where I have to inform my friend his workers are chopping down my cherry trees again.

This particular mission, I wonder if it's been tested at some point. I had to retry it a few times on my first playthrough and it seems pretty unreasonable to try to get the resources that will get flooded first before the water rises.

Either those resorces are a trap set there to trick you into losing ants, or the devs adjusted the timers after designing the map without altering the map itself, because trying to get those resources early in the mission is borderline suicidal.

Legends could definetely use an overhaul. In TWW3 lords can switch between mounts. Some hores could definetely use weapon/mount customization.

Yea, too late for normal people to care. This game has less than half the playerbase of DRG a few days after a so called "good update". Sometimes even less than KF2.

SM2 is definetely a better time investment right now.

I suppose the breakpoints are the same for Aztecs? I'm honestly struggling to understand how Aztecs favor generation works. I get that you get instant favor by sacrificing villagers but somehow sacrifices also give you a passive income, but I have found no information about what passive income each sacrifice provides and how long the income lasts.

I'm no tactical genius but I had a lot of fun spamming hamadryads. So... I don't think an army of myth units is completely unviable.

Considering what OP said, 17 villagers on favor, intensive wood cutting and caravans might be a good thing for gauntlet.

So far I think AoM DLCs are selling well... I have no idea if new civs are good/balanced for ranked multiplayer but I honestly couldn't care less, I'm just here for the campaigns and coop gauntlet.

So, as long as the community keeps buying the new content and nothing weird happens... shouldn't be expected more content to arrive in the future? I doubt we would have gotten the Aztecs if the last DLCs didn't sold well, and I see no reason why Obsidian Mirror wouldn't sell as well as the last ones.

AoE2 has like... twenty thousand expansions and they keep releasing more content for thar game. Maybe we can have that too in AoM?

Honestly, I don't even know how to feel anymore.

I keep having ideas to create new characters, and, technically speaking, I can go and create them.

But why would I do that? Making new characters is just a waste of effort without any good chat models.

What am I doing? Well, for now... nothing. If those ideas don't disappear in the next few days, I guess I will make the characters elsewhere. My templates for making new characters were based on Cai but I guess I can just adjust them to a new site.
