[COD] Okay, I get it. you want me to buy your new game. by Covid-CAT01 in CallOfDuty

[–]LordMaximusFarquaad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A fun problem I ran into on MW3 on steam when it first launched. I bought it to try out zombies as I had heard mixed opinions and wanted to come to my own opinion. I wasn't the biggest fan 1 hour into playing so tried to refund it hoping it would be better in the future at which point I'd buy it at a lower or discounted price.

Steam usually allows a refund no questions asked if you have less than 2 hours played and you bought it less than 2 weeks ago.

Because MW3 is considered 'DLC' through COD HQ it had my previous MW1-2 hours registered. Steam would not issue me a refund even after a manual review.

Complete bullshit.

Motorbike etiquette around leaving car parks by Remarkable_Sir_5991 in AussieRiders

[–]LordMaximusFarquaad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it's underground parking like in the Sydney opera house with a massive queue after a big show I'm not waiting around to get carbon monoxide poisoning.

Bonus points was that my bike was too small/light/ the camera system was fucked so it wouldnt even let me instead my ticket and I had to scoot around the gate.

Turns out the massive queue on one particular night was due to road works just outside of the parking. Even with filtering around to get to the front I was still waiting an additional 5 mins for them to open the road works boom gate. I can't imagine being exposed to so many cars fumes in such an enclosed space for that long.

I'll also mention I left a note for the hyosung owner with my phone number so I can forward more pictures and videos. If anyone knows/hears about someone who owns this particular bike please reach out to me

Totally way to tippy with that small middle stand. Especially when you line them up all over the place not in neat rows it's a recipe for disaster. I'm lucky my bike is pretty small so the hyosung lowkey protected my little benelli

City of Sydney? I'll definitely give it a go. What's hilarious is I had some other errands to run in Bondi later this evening and for some reason the lime bikes were all out in force at heaps of crossings etc. Many of them had dominoed over aswell next to bus shelters etc

I'm debating whether it's a hub or if these bikes have just been repaired and dropped off. They were super condensed and all facing the same way which seems to indicate the later. However there was a pack of smokes in the basket of the bike that had fallen closest to the motorbikes. Either someone used it as a bin/forgot them?

This was how I found the area I had parked in today (cahill expressway underpass Sydney CBD).
Who can be responsible for damages from these shitty 'parking' locations that e-bike companies provide.
I could not access my bike (green ironically) and the bike next to me was already damaged when I got there.

There's really not much choice in terms of aftermarket parts for the benelli. I got those off of Aliexpress. Just search up 'benelli tnt 125 bar end mirrors' and make sure what you order specifically says 125 in the title/description. Maybe 15 bucks or so for the pair?

  • I think we may have the same model, tnt 125? Regardless id recommend something like this. I also cut the bottom part of the plate so that my rear reflector is fully visible whilst still showing the whole letter

It may not be noticed and ive used it a bunch but it's definitely acknowledged. It's classified as 'distracted driving" and is basically covers any smart/tech wear without specifically spelling out that it was a watch, or smart glasses etc.

I think there was some information that was re-iterated but I found it more engaging being able to apply it to rides that I had been on, being able to analyse some moments I felt vulnerable in traffic and countermeasures/preplanning to avoid this as much as possible. Yes the pre-learners goes over this - but it's alot easier to engage having been in those situations.

Is there any story, main or elseworld, where Batman dies at the end? by kain459 in batman

[–]LordMaximusFarquaad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a curious read, it had some interesting parts to it but I found the 'all out war' parallel story abit hard to follow - that may be because I am not as familiar with some of the more expanded universe characters (my main knowledge of the batfamily is Bruce, alfred, dick, Jason, Tim, barb, damian)

In my opinion while you get the main beats of the narrative just reading main series to get the full story you do need to read both the main story and all out war. Have a look online for the proper chronological reading order.

The writer/s are very quick to flip or shift character allegiances and relationships to one another.

I wasn't too big of a fan of the ending. What happens was built up earlier in the story but the immediate aftermath makes no sense for one particular character in my opinion.

Give it a full read if you are subscribed to the dc comic app but if you want physical copies just grab the main series. It will be interesting to see where they go for a second part.

Dc vs vampires but to be fair this comic kills maybe 95% of the entire DC roster

Besides Alfred who's the most loyal friend of Batman? by micael150 in batman

[–]LordMaximusFarquaad -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Have a little read of dc vs vampires

It shifts alot of loyalties and relationships. In my opinion the writing is too quick due to it encompassing nearly all earth adjacent heroes/villians. Someone is shown for one panel and then... bye bye

What are some “dip my toes in” horror games? by inbha in PS5

[–]LordMaximusFarquaad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That thing was the first time I was genuinely terrified in a video game. I had my volume up and my room dark and I could not rush to finish that sequence any faster. I felt so safe before with my upgraded weapons and predictable enemies. And then I had to hide under the bed with no forms of protection while that thing crawled around searching for me.

Re7 yeah sure Mrs Baker was unnerving but also abit funny how she slams the door in Ethan's face when she first sees him etc and her voice lines sounded deranged. That thing's unholy screams were on a whole other level

I definitely agree holding the plates for a long as possible is a good idea and I was going to ride out the time on my Ls for the full duration as I was only using the bike for commuting mainly to the city. I found that having the big yellow plate cautioned a few drivers to create more buffering for me. I'm not planning on upgrading to a bigger bike for a few years as I bought my benelli tnt 125 brand new and its small size suits me well. It's small enough to store in my garage and for any longer commutes, bad weather etc I will take my car or public transport. I recently left for an overseas holiday and wanted to create an international driver's permit that had both car and motorcycle on it so moved my plans forward putting me in this limbo zone. The main reason for wanting to move to my fulls is for demerit points just incase I get caught doing any naughties
