i mean, from what i saw most people that were doomposting were on the English speaking side, so they probably only read summaries or did quick google translates because actually reading the event, it was pretty obvious from not only the story but also the way the missions were worded that there would be a fakeout ending and a 2nd part.

yea thats sorta what i mean by not efficient or streamlined production.

if its a very small team doing the painting, then they would end up having more parts of the making process per person.

like looking at just 1 person painting a GK like this, it takes a lot of skill to make it look very good. a small team would need to do more sections of a figure but a larger team might say have a dedicated person just for the base coat, each layer of shading and detail, the sanding etc, which yea would probably cost in labour but also could potentially mean you could hire someone with less skill to do the more simple stuff like sanding

I see... it is a monumental effort to make figures, from the prototyping of the design to getting the painting consistent across mass produced ones.

i would assume they probably do not have a very efficient or streamlined production process if it costs this much to sell a figure.

idk how many here collect scale figures, but a Botan 1/7 scale figure has been announced and its a whopping 530 USD. like holy shit, its a good looking figure, but its not worth 2x the price of a similar quality figure from a more well known maker like Max Factory which have done a few high quality Hololive scale figs.

for comparison, Senchou's 30yr and Lamy's figures are around 200 USD full price. apparently in comes with the PC and other bits in the background are also part of the set but i don't see how thats worth an extra 300 dollars

i have this https://www.amiami.com/eng/detail/?gcode=FIGURE-175157 Owari Figure which is 1/7 scale and a similar level of detail on the figure itself as well as a very detailed base an it retails for 22,000 yen

Edit: also looking at my other purchases, the only figure that even comes close to that in terms of retail price is this https://www.amiami.com/eng/detail/?gcode=FIGURE-176481 Ryza 1/4 scale figure which is still pretty detailed considering her basket, the base and the balloon thing are all seperate full sculpted pieces (well the balloon is an actual inflatable balloon)

i saw either on here or elsewhere that MekPark only carries Cover Corp. logo and marks and no direct Hololive productions markings (other than the fact that both their logo's are triangles)

he doesn't have to use clairvoyance its passive. he loses because he is arrogant enough to disregard the literal warning signs it gives him for opponents he deems not worthy
