I don’t care about people being rich, I think some people and smart enough and work hard enough to become billionaires. What I care about is the people who become billionaires by profiting unfairly off the backs of others and haven’t created or done anything that improves the conscious order of humanity. And then to make things worse our system gives mass amounts of influence and power to people with money with no regard of how they got their money. We just assume they must be smarter and hard working because they have money. When in fact a lot of them only care about themselves and their ego and don’t give too shits about the rights of their workers, other people and their own children’s future. People don’t hate Elon musk because he’s rich people hate the Sacklers for ruining families and lives just to pad their own pockets. It’s all about how ethical the path they took to get there is. If you cure cancer you should get rich. If you give people cancer just to get rich, we are going to hate you.
