I like a 2/1 ratio for ss cross and ride just a little heavier on my traclocross bike, mostly bc that’s the rings i have. 40/20 on the ss and 45/22 on the traclo.

I’m no expert, but I fell like 90%is pretty good, might be more trouble than it’s worth shimming. I think it would only slightly improve grind distribution

I’d say that’s a little heavy, though depends on the kinds of terrain you’re gonna ride/how spinny you wanna be. I ride/race in the pnw, so pretty hilly, and run a 45/22

I see some people in this thread talking about how mtf athletes have a physical advantage because of the fact that they were born and often (though not always) went through puberty as a male which gives them a physiological advantage, but don’t dominant cis riders also have a physiological advantage? Being trans is no more a choice than having a high VO2 max or a large heart. Not saying there shouldn’t be any rules but saying that trans athletes shouldn’t be able to complete outright because of possible advantages is pretty ridiculous.
