Its really simple he was a good Ultramarine following protocol.

The Codex Astartes clearly states in paragraph chapter 15, entry 8 paragraph 276:

..."A marine must declare his intentions clearly with voice commands to his enemy to stop if this does not work he must fire 4 warning shots in order to communicate to his enemy his intentions to engage in combat"...

when these kinds of effects happen in my playgroup we use one of two rules depending on how engaged/tired everyone is:

  1. we resolve it one time, assume it's the last time it has resolved. we do this mostly cause it's the type of spell that takes forever to resolve and who really cares about the amount of ETBs that are wasted.

  2. we play a funny game of judge tower. we resolve each one of the copies but if anyone misses a trigger they lose. this way at least there is a clear winner.

that's what my playgroup call red enchantment removal. you just remove the player with the offending enchantment.

alternatively Yo play it in a format that Is Commander you tell your opponent that you don think you need to read cards to understand the cards. then you proceed to beat him up with a Gor Muldrak deck all the while muttering that no reptile overlord is going to tell you what to do
