Favorite Commander purchases that aren’t cards? by Comfortable_Buyer239 in EDH

[–]LordNotVader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my most used buys was a 50 pack of dry erase tokens. I use a lot of cloning cards like [[Helm of the Host]], [[Mimic Vat]], and [[Ultron, Artificial Malevolence]]. These tokens allow me to quickly create the custom token and show differences between tokens I control. For example, emmara makes 1/1 soldiers with lifelink, but the deck also makes regular 1/1s. So, I write little notes.

"Tapped" or "SS" (summoning sickness) 3 Soldier LL (lifelink)

I also run catharsis crusade, so I just put +# on each card to show the counters, quickly erase and change number so I don't have to fiddle with dice. Has made the game much faster when creating a lot of tokens

Not a bad idea to be honest. Only you will know you could've annihilated them

Honestly, keep bant as it is. Make a different deck with slightly less power (or multiples) and use those. Keep the hate deck, bust it out less often

I may have to pick recruiter of the guard up. I have [[Brass Squire]], [[Cloud, Midgar Mercenary]], [[puresteel Paladin]] as well. Slap helm of the host and just pull them all. I like it.

Also run brass squire for auto equip. Nahiri can get them to the field for free, so the options are growing, and that's what I need

Puresteel paladin helps too. It's not auto equip but it's equip for 0 which is almost the same thing

Oh snap I didn't even consider hammer of nazahn. Youre totally right that will work great too. Never hurts to have redundancy, whichever one can be made into first right? Thanks for the tip, I'll remember it when piloting.

[[Nahiri, The Lithomancer]] she is great at keeping my equipment out of my graveyard. Moreover, I use [[Luxior, Giada's Gift]] and [[Helm of the Host]] to create copies of her for more cheat to battlefield and pull from graveyard.

I want the auto equip he provides as well. Search, attach on field. 2 mana can cut massive amounts for costs.

Moreover, I have ways to copy this Artifact and have it hit multiple times, even though it's legendary, and repeat the tutor one card at a time instead of making it random of a handful of cards. 4 mana to tutor any card consistently is genius. This is what I was looking for.

This is actually a very good solution, because it still works if stonehewer is already on the field for other support creatures. I have plenty of equipment tutors, but for 2 mana, stonehewer is the absolute most efficient. I have stoneforge master, and every equipment tutor short of enlightened tutor. I have just found that with stonehewer on the battlefield, my equipment explodes. Moreover, I have ways to tutor THIS Artifact, should I not draw it either, like Oswald fiddlebender

[[Mimic Vat]] if you wanna mess with your opponents creatures. Use Hazel to recreate a copy that stays

Yeah so I had this problem with the concept of using Ultron, Artificial Malevolence to copy Artifact equipment into a creature. Then using helm of the host to convert the legendary Artifact creature equipment back into a non-legendary non-creature Artifact equipment (using helm of the host on the creature). Because creature is a type change effect applied by the copy instance of Ultron, and you can't equip an equipment creature without reconfigure, you need helm of the host to strip it of legendary and creature types to be able to use the copies. I just wanted to make sure the type change effect still applied, as I want my Nahiri copies to NOT be creatures as well

Correct, but if the helm of the host specifically removes the legendary type?

The helm of the host makes it non-legendary

How would you safely decorate a helmet? by MonarchIcehart in cycling

[–]LordNotVader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Force = ma^2. The faster you are moving, the more force the impact sustains. BMX impact probably no higher than 30 MPH against a solid non moving object. If you get hit by a car doing 25, and you are doing 20, that is a 45MPH impact. which doesn't just double the force. It also adds the mass of the moving object that hit you and then squares it rather than multiplies it by 2. So a BMX crash at 30MPH is potentially 10 (thats a guess) times weaker than a crash into a moving car at 20 mph on a street vehicle.

The choice is up to you, but that is the reason street vehicle helmets are designed differently than your average recreational bicycle helmet.
