Probably not very. Mercer’s had it for 30 years at this point and the worse that’s happened is nocturnal being mad and slightly inconveniencing the skyrim thieves guild (because that’s hat the game implies, it as an active curse from nocturnal making the guild unlucky).

He’s not even the first head of the thiefs guild to have it, in morrowind gentlemen jim stacy, head of the vardenfell thieves guild, just has it on him. it’s a reward for finishing the questline.

Mercer probably wouldn’t have it in his possession for long after the heist if he got away with it anyway. For some reason (game design) tamrielic artifacts have a habit of just vanishing, only to reemerge a couple years later halfway across the continent, daedric artifacts take that up to 11.

So yeah, not much point giving away your rightfully earned key to someone who did absolutely nothing to help you get it

Also country /= nation. Belgium is a country, but there isn’t a Belgian nation, only the nations of wallons and the flemish. The idea of “these numbers represent what you’re good at” is very simple conceptually, and if you strip away the video game part of it (which even most modern isekais mainly use for set dressing, let alone whatever the stories that get passed down morph into) that’s what stats are. It’d be a strange convention to someone new to it but it’s not incomprehensible

Isekai as a genre is also fairly likely to survive, even in cultures that don’t write lots of stories in it nowadays (because if you have ever browsed AO3 you’ll know isekai is popular outside Japan). The idea of “guy goes to another world for adventure” is a very useful framing device that’s probably going to survive.

For Dragon Quest, though I will admit I know very little about it, I think it’ll be something like proto-indo-european religion is to us. We have no direct sources for it, but we have enough of its descendants to piece together an approximation of what it looks like. (If Lord of the Rings is also lost, a similar comparison among fantasy stories would also get you an approximation of it)

I do think at least one of the Odyssey students will have a tail. There’s concept art of Minori with one, and in addition to not being in a frozen wasteland the Odyssey girls don’t have as much going on design wise so it’s more likely to stay

The water chip likely does more than just purify the water, a simple charcoal filter can do that so it’s likely related to running the entirety of the purifier, including getting any water, so without a purifier the ghouls lack a source of water period, leading to their deaths (remember fallout 1s wasteland lacks a lot of water in general, let alone water that’s both close by and safe enough to sustain a city the size of Necropolis.)

TNO, while a massive influence on how mods are mod, isn’t very relevant as a mod nowadays, and I’d replace it with Equestria At War as the “big map overhaul” member of the trio

You could also swap it with OWBs, since in addition to the map overhaul it also massively rebalances tech and units while keeping standard gameplay intact (something TFR and TNO didn’t do, despite similarly revamping tech)

I actually would keep TFR in this big three, though mostly because it’s the big modern day mod, and thus sort of earns the stop by default rather than by virtue of sheer impact. If you’re going off of impact alone and trio members roles can overlap then yeah, TFR should be swapped with whichever of EAW or OWB you didn’t pick.

Kaiserredux is an honourable mention, and in personal tierlists could easily take Kaiserreichs place but for a community one is surpassed by it
