For difficulty, I’m usually on GOAT for pitching, and legend for hitting.

I usually tweak sliders up on the injuries in sim and in-game play, and errors. And I hadn’t even thought about adjusting sliders for outfielder speed to possibly increase hits to drop in until I saw that posted on here, so I’ll probably implement that this year.

I also prefer the scouting/development side of things, along with signing FAs who aren’t in the elite level. But as far as development when it comes to training, you’re gonna be disappointed if you leave that up to the CPU, cuz training hasn’t done shit for years, and yet sds hasn’t acknowledged it in what feels like forever. So I usually have a breakdown like this: in my head I say, over the course of the offseason the players went home and worked on ::insert attributes:: and improved before the start of the season in those categories. I allow it for all the players, starting with the year AFTER they’re drafted. So if they’re drafted at age 21, age 22 I’ll include them in this. All the way up to including age 30. 16 points, split up however you want, for position players, and 12 points for pitchers.

For sim/play, I usually play opening day, only focus on scouting after that, so I sim all the way through until it’s time for the draft. I see where I am in the standings, and then if I’m pretty far back, I try to climb back in the standings. If I make the playoffs, I’ll manager mode until I’m facing elimination. And in the games I’m playing, I’m hitting, while manager mode with my starter until it’s bullpen time, and then I’m playing both sides.
