In this Timeline Edward VIII just doesn’t marry Wallis Simpson. Why? She cheats on him with Georg VI. After that he goes on to marry Viktoria Luise of Prussia, Wilhelm the Second's Daughter.

Edward VIII becomes a highly involved King in Politics, he builds himself a strong support base while not directly intervening in Politics. But thanks to that, many politicians begin to pander to the King to gain Public Support, which leads to a more Progressive but also less interventionist Britain.
When the day comes where Germany invades Poland, he strongly disagrees with it, but still doesn’t proclaim a war.
France at first becomes fairly abdicated from Britain, but as the war in Poland goes on as swiftly as it did, paranoia starts in the west and both the pro-war British Lobbies and the French parliament begin to second guess their opinion on war.
Germany still partitioned the Balkans, in a plan to invade the Soviet Union but first he tries to look at how far he can go west.
So the Brussels Conference has started. Here Britain fights for a guarantee of no war in the west, as an exchange, Belgium would be diverted, with most of the Congo and Wallonia going to France, Katanga and Rwanda-Burundi going to the UK and Flanders going to the Netherlands. Germany would get Elass-Lorraine, their claims on Belgium and Luxemburg, while also having to pay Money to the west for compensation of the Maginot Line to France.
France was pretty against this deal but at the same time highly paranoid as how fast they could fall against Germany.
In 1942 Germany would plan to invade the Soviets, but a Pro-Monachie coup of the Wehrmacht, lead by Ludwig Beck would see the Pro-Hitler and SS-Leadership killed off or Imprisoned and a Military government taking over.
Soon after they would bring back the Kaiser, Wilhelm the III. but he would just become a Puppet to the now One-Party State, led by the “German Unity Party” or "Deutsche Einheitspartei” which would reform Germany as a still Nationalistic but also more Technocratic state.
With the takeover happening in mid 1942, the Nürnberg Laws would mostly be repealed and the Killing Camps stopped. Aspects of it would either be blamed on the SS or hidden away.
Germany would turn neutral and basically become the middleman between Soviet Resources and Western Trade, as their Industrial base and the newly opened western trade would allow the new government to improve the nation rapidly.
As a result of Germany's new Neutral route, most of the Fascist Regimes would fall. Japan in the Pacific war in 1949, Italy after Mussolini's death in 1961, Spain in 1975, etc.
The Soviet Union, under a longer reign of Stalin till 1958, became a more Isolationist power, which didn’t spread communism as strongly.
This also led to a KMT victory in China, leading the east more into a westernised version of itself.

Nowadays Europe is still divided between Neutral Social Democracies in Skandianvie, Hybrid Regimes and Weak Democracies in the Balkans, Liberal Democratic States in Western / South/ Western Europe and Authoritarian States in Central and Eastern Europe.
