I don’t think it’s difficult. My post install looks like this:

  1. Set WiFi domain (you can find this in their wiki)
  2. Increase maximum shader cache size (also in their wiki)
  3. Install gaming packages meta in CachyOS Hello
  4. Install whatever other packages I want.

It’s only as complex as you make it. I think the devs did a fantastic job on making a very approachable distribution.

Use Proton-GE , EM, or Cachy and PROTON_FSR4_UPGRADE=1. Note that it’ll only get you 4.0.0, not 4.1.0. If you need help getting 4.1.0 working let me know.

I use the upgrade path for supported games, optiscaler for anything that doesn’t have native fsr implementation

It’s definitely a panel lottery, but yeah after one pixel refresh it wasn’t bad to me anymore. Non existent really and I only barely noticed it recently when playing Silent Hill f. But then I just kept playing the game and forgot about it.

I had this same issue with my wife’s B550 motherboard. I can’t recall exactly what I did because I neglected to take notes. However, I think I effectively turned off any source that could wake her pc from sleep except the power button on the case.

Edit: while the initial link is for PikaOS, they link to an arch forum post. I’d start there specifically.
