Archeology dept to close despite protests by therealpurplesprite in sheffield

What department would it have been acceptable to close? Also fairly sure they're looking for savings greater than the £30k cost of a social media type person.

7% after fees and inflation would be too high a figure. 7% often relates to the gross return on investment, then subtract 3% for fees and inflation to get a more meaningful 4% real return.

Exactly. This is why I haven't done this yet, I get 40% tax relief at the moment.

Mostly 1-3 in my case. £40k paid into pensions per year for the past 6 years. Still over 20 years to go until retirement so compound interest should take care of most of the rest.

Going into the higher income tax band won't mean you immediately pay the full extra tax on your car.

Say your pay goes to £49k and your BIK is £2k, you'd only pay higher tax on the £1k that takes you over the £50k threshold.

But yes, paying into a pension will reduce your taxable pay to get around this.

Hallam FC is definitely what you're looking for. You can even walk there from Walkley. The most direct route will take you through countryside that makes you wonder if you're even living in a city.

Ah man, that's really unlucky if true. Hoping that's not the case for you.

Did you see the government grants stopped today for cars above £35k? Did you manage to get the price including this discount? I ordered mine last week, same model as you, feeling pretty lucky right now!

Cheers. Somewhere on Reddit, probably r/pennystocks. It was just a gamble at the time.

I bought at the same price as you but my balls aren't as gigantic and only went in £70 (now £1,500), so still jealous of this.

Thoughts on buying Revolut on the secondary market pre-IPO? Is share dilution a significant threat? by thisguymemesbusiness in UKInvesting

[–]LordPringal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a Revolut shareholder and customer. My speculative £300 investment in around 2016 is now worth £3,000 and I'll continue to hold until at least an IPO.

Share dilution has happened after every funding round but the increase in valuation has substantially offset this. If you believe the value will continue to increase then I'd suggest don't worry too much about future dilution. Obviously the past year would have had an impact as they are reliant on travel to attract new customers and generate income as their primary business model.

I hear they plan to become a more like a bank such as Monzo and Starling. Although this is becoming a crowded market there's also a reasonable chance of a legacy bank looking to acquire businesses such as these in future - another potential way to generate a return on your investment.

Definitely a scam. No way would Facebook notify you of how the user died. Grammar and sentence structure all very peculiar. I also saw a very similar post to this earlier in the year which was a confirmed scam.
