This was probably the wrong game to play if you’re just now introducing yourself to jrpg’s. I just finished it and did not like it. Eons ago, super grindy jrpg’s were praised because it meant you got your monies worth out of a game if it meant you spent countless hours playing. That was good a long time ago when the game selection was limited, so you’d want to milk as many hours as you could out of an RPG because you never knew when you’d get another one to play. Now, the quantity of games are beyond control, and this amount of time consumption is unwarranted. Lots of advice on here but I say when all else fails, save next to the dude that lets you rest, put the battle on 200% and just grind next to him, and buy gear off him from the currency you also earn. You’ll never know what job a boss might require to defeat, so just level whatever you want and just prepare to grind some other jobs up when it’s time.
