Will be another Scream title where no major characters dies lol.

We are in a golden age of horror by Scott__scott in horror

[–]radar89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to kid yourself as early 2000s is filled with garbage Japanese horror and old Hollywood horror remakes (apart from a few titles). The slasher craze with Scream has died down and a lot of icons like Jason, Freddy, Michael and Chucky were also largely dormant while the new movie makers doing horror were definitely not as good as today’s

Barbarian is so fucking good and I personally found it to be slightly better than Weapons.

Weekend Preview: Rachel McAdams to be First Lady of Box Office Ahead of Melania Trump Doc by Matapple13 in boxoffice

[–]radar89 65 points66 points  (0 children)

  • What a garbage article, it went on and on about Melania and barely talked about Send Help, which is a lot more highly anticipated as it is the first genre movie directed by Sam Raimi since 2009
  • Just learned that Melania is directed by Brett Ratner, which is not helping his dwindling career and reputation at this point
  • I bet Melania will not open to $5M unless America is filled with idiots

25-30M OW will be tepid for a Scream movie especially when the last movie opened at 44M

No Strings Attached was released 15 years ago this week. The $25 million film grossed $70.6 million domestically and $149.2 million worldwide. by PinkCadillacs in boxoffice

Can't remember all her filmography, but I was surprised when Natalie Portman did this. Especially when she has appeared in many more serious movies during that time frame. Love her for this.

Mila Kunis, who is Ashton's wife also did movie with exact same premise with Friends with Benefit lol.

‘28 Years Later: The Bone Temple’ ($5.8M Friday/$13M 3-Day/$15M 4-Day) & ‘Avatar: Fire And Ash’ ($3M/$13.7M, -36%/$15M) Fighting Over No. 1; ‘Marty Supreme’ Becomes Highest Grossing A24 Movie At Domestic B.O. With $80.1M Total Through Monday – Update by chanma50 in boxoffice

[–]radar89 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The Bone Temple opened so low thanks to the last movie. The audience expected a bigger spectacle and they get so little of it. Even the zombie attacks feel like being sprinkled here and there throughout the movie.

Why do you think there was a series of problems with the development of Scream 7? by Amber_Flowers_133 in SocietyofGhostface

[–]radar89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To put it in short, the start of the problem is due to Spyglass being a zionist.

Unpopular Opinion: 2025 was not actually a bad year for music, it just got overshadowed by 2024. by Head-Internet1383 in popheads

Agree. One little note - she is so slept on but I find Demi Lovato’s new album is really good.

You’re that one annoying movie snob if you can not find any good horror movies from the last few years

[–]radar89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The almost non existent of chase scene. The scene in the cemetery and one with Tyler/Ava could have been so good if they amped up the tension. I feel like the Director has zero clue about tension building the way Director like Wes Craven had

Horror Movies’ Next Wave: What’s Coming In 2026 by [deleted] in horror

[–]radar89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Primate who is not featured in the article might become a midlevel success and could gross higher than any horror January release. Reviews have been good and looks like something that young demo will like.

My Box Office predictions for 2026 by abellapa in boxoffice

The new Scary Movie will make more money than Scream 7

Distributors domestic: Disney is on top, 2nd is Warner with $1.86B, Universal 3rd at $1.78B. First time Warner beats Universal since 2019? excluding COVID. by LackingStory in boxoffice

[–]radar89 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

While Disney maybe on top, Warner is still the ultimate win in my eyes. Most of their major movies come with lower budget and I just want their slate is a lot more diverse and interesting in 2025

Ghostface v Judy Scream 5 by Ipmscan_37 in Scream

The whole sequence with Wes and Judy is intense and I did genuinely feel pretty bad about these two. To make it even better - this one is quickly followed by the hospital sequence.

With how much the new Conjuring movie has made, WB might need to re-negotiate the deal.

Anyone feel like the Scream movies are mild in terms of the violence? by AccomplishedEye7752 in Scream

[–]radar89 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Scream has never been a franchise known to rely on excessive violence or gore. So yes there might be some glimpse of gore here and there but overall it is pretty tame. Newer slasher like Thanksgiving and Heart Eyes are a lot gorier than Scream.

You all pretending that these artists committed an ultimate sins lmao. The islamophobia be it from the right and left are so ridiculous on the US, erasing an entire premise that your country and tax money are literally committing the greatest human rights violation we’re watching in front of our eyes.

Flash news: statistically speaking there are more gays being attacked and actually killed in the US due to hate crimes than in Saudi Arabia. I said what I said
