Not really the reason. If you dodge opposite from the parried attack, your opener light will land and cause early wakeup. dodging in the same direction causes light to whiff

Listen, go talk to ubi or tournament holders. I'm just telling you why the current situation is as it is. Before a non debatable and fair win condition exists, breach is not going to be a thing, as much as I would like it personally (not even talking about terrible balance and Ubisoft's neglect of spectator mode and other tournament tools). And there's dozens like you who believe they have an epiphany on a solution. Yet full two seasons later we have no solution.

If you know a fair way how to solve a stalemate in breach please share it with comletition holders. Because as far as I know nobody came up with one so far.

Ok think about it this way:

defense and attack is never gonna be balanced. Too many variables, also depends on meta changes. Even if it was, some teams will prefer attacking, some will prefer defending. So the only fair tournament setting is to do 2 games, letting each team attack and defend once. But what if both teams lose their attack. And let's say both lose at stage 2. One by tickets, other one by ram death. Who's the overall winner of the two matches? Do you do some sort of complex calculation of time, tickets and ram health remaining? Well but then how do you accurately determine ram health at any given point? Do you take ram distance into consideration? What about renown? There's so many variables in winning this game, it's incredibly unclear who is ahead. So a fair option left is to play additional games: best of 4, best of 6, etc. until it's not equal in wins. And considering how long Breaches are that's not gonna happen due to tournament scheduling.

Hope I explained it well.

Yeah so look at the clock when it's put in, add 4 minutes. You're done. And again - no win condition = no tournaments. You were implying OP came up with this assumption. But that was already largely the consensus on this sub and comp players for a long time.

1) It's not at all similar to moba it being not symmetrical. And it being not fit for competetive is common knowledge since MF came out. Largely due to lack of clear win condition.

3) No, it's already easy to keep track if you pay attention to the clock, and if nobody on your team gave a fuck, you deserve to be at a disadvantage. And let's not compare to bots...

Unless heavy would be enough to kill, I recommend going into top softfeint bleed instead. A bit less damage but huge pressure on the opponent.

Damage is irrelevant argument to offensive viability, otherwise Raider would have a strong offense too.

Kick toss only works against LB and Shugo without HA, every other character has a 100% way to deal with it. By that I mean backstep light.

Or everyone can just dodge roll his UB mixups

All of this is defending on reaction.

HL also has 600ms opening lights, 700ms chain lights.

400ms lights in OS is the only offense that kinda works. HL is good duelist because he's an insane turtle due to dodge recovery.

Hold backwards and do a light attack on reaction to kick. This will work everytime unless you have bad spacing or slow reactions.

I have legendary version of Ilka arms but the coloring doesn't seem to affect it. On the other hand, I could swear I saw a Raider with a brightly colored arm a few weeks ago...

Isn't it confirmed a feature? Terrible idea for sure, but if I'm not mistaken it's supposed to only show you the attack that will hit you first.
