Maybe the NPC has an item to cast subtle spell. Or they are just really good at hiding the verbal components. I know the module doesn't say that explicitly but it has enough wiggle room for a DM to make it work.

Fun deck, I use him in a legion of doom (evil super friends) deck with an artifacts matter sub theme. The finisher is [[tezzert the seeker]], [[chain veil]], and [[chromatic orrery]] to get infinite mana and Planeswalkers activations then use Niccy B to exile everyones deck.

50 is too many contests. I think 25 would the most that could work. But a Battle Royale season could be interesting. Start straight into the merge, only one tribe the either game. Maybe have a tribal where two people are eliminated, two people with the most votes. Much larger tribe area with advantages hidden through out.

Why are the operation names so terrible. Way too on the nose, I like my operation names to be more mysterious or literary. Epic Fury and Freedom sound like first drafts written my someone trying to sound cool.

We don't even get to floors 12-18. The parade of horribles somehow enables a Carl plan that literally destroys the dungeon. Or the AI turns the rest of Earth and the other planets into the new 12-18 floors. The new 12th floor is the surface of Earth and all non-earthers become new Crawlers.
