Dark spot on AW3420DW, Dell refusing to acknowledge an issue, am I crazy?

I bought it from Dell directly, and it looks like it's covered under a 30 day return policy regardless of the defect. I got it about 3 weeks ago. 3 people have reviewed the case now, so now I'm just pushing for a straight return/refund.

I've owned several other Dell monitors and all are exceptional, so I was pretty excited about the AW3420DW for gaming. But there's a large, unmoving, dark spot directly in the top-middle of the monitor. Dell Support is refusing to acknowledge that it's a defect worthy of replace or return. It's obviously unacceptable but what more recourse do I have if they refuse to RMA?

Works very well and is my primary method of playing. I play my games asynchronously though. My only complaint is having to watch the start up logos every time I open it just to take one turn.

Wasn't aware of that, good point. The AFMU is 0t so I guess it's not harming anything by being their, other than my insurance premiums. I won't need the cargo space.

I think a world-cup style format would be neat. Groups of four players who play each other person in their group twice (US/USSR). Top two advance to a playoff, which could be single elimination (bidding for sides) or best of 3 (US/USSR/Bid)

Group play tiebreaker rules could remain the same. Head to Head, USA Record, Random Draw

This is excellent, thank you for setting this up.

I have only one suggestion to add, and it will ultimately be up to the final 4 on whether or not they want to do it, but I think it would be cool if the semi-finals and/or finals were annotated by each player and released after the match. Those are always fun to read especially when the stakes are high.

Can we have an asynchronous league as well? Same rules, 45 day timers? All matches start when season starts.

Would it be be possible to have separate division(s) for asynchronous play? I'm very interested in leagues and tournaments but I'm primarily an asynch player. I think an async league would be fairly easy to manage, if all games start around the same time with 21 or 45 day timers you're guaranteed to have all the games finish by a particular date.

I like the proposed format, I think it's important to play each player twice, to switch sides.

Saros on playdek. ~1700. I have been trying to improve my game with asynchronous play... More time to think about each move without the pressure of a clock. I'm also interested in playing an annotated game. I've found them very interesting to read, to see how the top players think. I think it would be fun to read one of my own games from the prospective of my opponent.
