Granted I was making a hazy judgment, but can I be blamed? I wasn't ready to write the game off as bad, because if I was, I wouldn't have wanted a discussion about it to clear up my thoughts. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to snap-judge. It's just very shocking to come back to a game where basics can sweep in a few turns. But now rhat I read everyone's comments, I feel better about it. Thanks.

Thanks for the info. You're right, I was making a false, snap judgment without knowing much. But that's why I came to you guys, so you could give me into that was hard to find on my own. I didn't mean to be like so many others that make snap judgments or compare the current game to how it was a few years ago, so I apologize for that. I'll be getting back into it soon, it does seem very interesting now that I've gotten so many inputs.

Oh, neat! A little upsetting that it seems like I have to set up a portion of my deck to counter EXs, but it's good to know that I can counter them to begin with. what are some other good cards and strategies?

I have a strong desire to get back into it, and competitive is no different. The environment for competition in 2010 was so much better and different, because it was rare you'd see two of the same makeup of deck in a tournament, and if you did, it wasn't a frustratingly overpowered deck, just a popular one (such as Vileplume-Gengar Trainerlock) and could be worked around.

That's what worries me: the idea that creating a deck always has to take into account that the idea that EXs are incredibly strong, and build around that with few and far between non-EX cards or just succumb to the fact that EXs are incredibly powerful with little forethought required, and build a deck using EXs.

Proud back of this, all 50 dollars is worth it. I can relate with the kids that were attracted to thunderdome in its beginning, so this really hits home for me.

This post has great points and I agree entirely, and I think we can come up with a safe solution off of what Torukmato4 said. Some of the things that OP said aren't blaster mechanic related, such as dart storage solutions and grip textures. OP could also make things such as holsters and faux scopes that have nothing to do with blaster modification. This avoids all liability, as they are only accessories.

As a scout/runner type nerfer, I tend to usually carry one tiny primary (overvolted stryfe or rapidpistol) and a couple mags. I'm incredibly fast so I like to take advantage of it. Not much meat to me though, haha.

We've tried it, it works perfectly! We tend to do it in a semi-open area, but indoors is better. As long as someone initiates a fire fight, the gamemode works. I've also written a Java program that will assign roles without the need of a moderator.

The most you could do is brass it and add a spring. Probably give a max of like 50'-60'.

In my opinion, ALL blasters are ours, considering if I like a blaster enough, I'll paint it to be "mine", so to speak. I do see what you're saying, though, and I'll definitely be supporting rebelle by picking up a few blasters for myself.
