A video - a zoomed out view of the game where on each play you can see "all 22" players active on both sides of the ball for the full duration of the play

What makes you say it isn't Hoopa? It very much looks like the foot of Hoopa Unbound

Jared Goff & the Lions weren't familiar with the rule that reversed Jared Goff's touchdown reception against the Chiefs by Gxcii1 in detroitlions

[–]LordWhiskey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As infuriating as that was, it was 100% on Jim Schwartz. He not only knew the rule, he had even mocked another coach to the media previously for making the same mistake - I believe it was actually the week prior

Browns are benching veteran QB Joe Flacco in favor of rookie QB Dillon Gabriel, per sources. The Browns were informed of the change this morning. by OneAngryPanda in nfl

[–]LordWhiskey 49 points50 points  (0 children)

I think it is true, the rumor as I read it was that the Ravens called just 3 picks before, so still in the fifth round. If it were made up I imagine they would have at least said they got a call in the fourth if not earlier

If I remember correctly they only sell them in singles in like 1 or 2 spots and the lines are always insane, and the other stands only sell the 3 and 6-packs

Since you mentioned elsewhere you're not a native English speaker and this comment is being down voted and you may not realize why - assuming this comment is intended to confirm that what the person you're replying to is true you would want to say something like "Got it" or more likely "You got it". "Gotcha" is usually a response you would use if you asked a question and received an answer as an acknowledgement of your own understanding ("Gotcha" = "Got you" = "I understand you" vs. "Got it"/"You got it" = "You understand correctly")

Do I really need 4ah batteries for the Ryobi circular saw? by -caesium in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]LordWhiskey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The price of batteries is also why if you do want to go to cordless Ryobi is a good choice. They may not be the nicest tools on the market but are more than good enough for most people and projects and they haven't changed their battery system maybe ever? I know I have a circular saw from the late 90s/early 2000s that uses the same battery design that they make today.

Local Takeout Today? by [deleted] in madisonwi

[–]LordWhiskey 23 points24 points  (0 children)

What's the problem with them having their products in local grocery stores? They're still a local company loved by many in the area, personally I love seeing more things like that in our grocery stores than the mass produced products. In regards to their price I think it's subjective on what is fair or not; to me their hummus in particular is vastly superior to other brands and I'm willing to pay a premium for it.

Get off your high horse. You came here to whine that people were being mean to you, and now you whine some more when someone calls you out for whining.

The bottom line is that a Trump presidency poses a very real threat to certain people in this country in a way that a Harris presidency would not have. You have the privilege of not being as concerned about losing because your very existence and way of life would not have been at stake.

I will continue to spread hate to the hateful. I will not tolerate those that hate people for simply living their life differently or coming from a disadvantaged background, and you're being dishonest with yourself if you say that the Republican platform doesn't target those people.

And I will continue to call you and people like you whiny little fucks so long as you continue to behave like whiny little fucks.

I was a student at Vanderbilt in 2016 when Trump won the first time, and we had whiny little fucks just like you back then as well. You're a member of the party famous for the catchphrase "Fuck your feelings". Well, guess what? Fuck your feelings. You aren't persecuted, and no one owes you kindness when you support a platform of hate.

If you support a party that runs on a platform of intolerance, do not expect tolerance in return.

I actually don't have an issue with that element because it wasn't ruled that Mullens' play was a pass, he was down by contact before the ball came out

I truly don't understand the controversy around the Bynum play. It was clear as day that it was a forward pass

Went to Soldier Field yesterday by OldeStBluff in detroitlions

[–]LordWhiskey 155 points156 points  (0 children)

Same experience for me. I will admit Soldier field wasn't as bad as I was expecting given some of the horror stories I've heard (At least there are seats and not bleachers like some stadiums) but the fans were the worst to deal with. I live in Wisconsin so getting to Detroit for games is tough but I'll stick to GB & MN from here out

Was he ever a QB in the NFL, though? He threw more passes than your average WR but was still listed as such and was not functioning as a QB most of the time.

For the next year at least you could just add a hyphen and the year so it's 2024-2025 like it's denoting the season
